TENCENT IS EXPANDING

While you are your leaders were distracted fighting a virus, Tencent just swooped in and bought 10% of Universal.

>The move will bolster each company’s global expansion, as Tencent claims greater access to a firm that houses top acts like Taylor Swift, The Beatles, and Lady Gaga. The Chinese firm already owns a 7.5% stake in Swedish giant Spotify, and Tencent Music Entertainment announced a music distribution and marketing partnership with top K-pop company SM Entertainment in early 2019.

How is this even allowed and how can we stop them from taking over the world?

socialism government and culture.
No incentive to be innovative.

No reason to reinvent the wheel.
It's stupid to do obsolete stuff.

Information >perception > behavior. This is how war is waged.

What happens when a majority stake holder of an entertainment company suddenly decides that they want to see less mentions of Taiwan? Or portray Chinese government positively?
They already have a huge influence because of their audience size. You don't want to know what's going to happen once they actually start owning companies.

Doesn't seem like individualism is promoted in China, the opposite even.
