Investor here. A frustration for me is watching the day to day on my stocks and them going in the complete opposite direction of announcements and earnings reports suggest. Intelsat for example secured a number of contracts for launches and bandwidth yet it's still declining. Further, a major competitor declared bankruptcy so it should be rallying but it isn't.

Intelsat has a bunch of military contracts and is poised in such a way that if it runs into problems it will simply be absorbed into a major defense contractor who then maintains ownership of the assets and the stocks get merged into said company. So you can actually stand to make damn good money over time even if the company isn't doing well.
