Well, Yas Forums?

repeat after me: ONCE. IN. A. LIFETIME. OPPORTUNITY.

Why would you buy now? We're about to enter in recession the last pump was the "return to normal", it's like buying Bitcoin in March'18 when it was 13k

natural gas. youre welcome

based

plus oil is dead, in 20 years the usage of it is going to be way less than now

Can it really go lower? I don't see people putting money into alternative energy for the foreseeable future. And I would be in this for the long haul. I'm thinking fpbp

youre an idiot
oil is literally everything you use own and need to live in modern and future times

Today, I bought 10k worth of USO, RDSb, and HAL. Hopefully I make it guys.

Demand only just dropping off, world economy shut down, Saudis keen to run Russia out the game before capitalising and pushing prices up while Russia can run to sub 20 dollar barrels for two years if needs be.

No, time to buy is not now.

Wise choice, but what about that Disney stock, did you see the announcement an hour ago?

BP and Shell prices are up 45-50% in the past week. The time to load up was 2 weeks ago.

Errybodys forecasting $10 oil.

Corona is stopping travel in every single country.

Saudis and Russia doing the price war to take back control from the US.

Companies going BK wont be buying oil to transport stuffs.

At what price would you begin nibbling? This would be for a long term investment, by the way.

What about the USO ETF the user posted above?

>The time to load up was 2 weeks ago.

Yep. March 10-12.

The time to move in was at the end of Monday a few days ago. Don’t move in after a record breaking surge. There will probably be a large dip sometime next week.

No, i bought that when it was at its cheapest. If it dips below $85 again I will buy more

You buy oil ETF's now then sell when it goes back to 40 bucks a barrel silly.

>Buying into Arab price fixing cartels

Wait until their dividend cut.

This. I guess I should have made it explicit that I'm talking about long-term investing in oil and not fast money.

Sort of. I've been warning you niggers for three weeks now.
There will be another dip though. But expect $40-50 oil into early summer.

Yes, I am in this for years.

>oil is dead
>planes need oil
>ships need oil
>95% of the cars on the road need oil
>farmers need oil
>truckers need oil
once the first solar powered plane is being used en masse then maybe we can start saying oil is dead

And how much are these alternative energy co.'s funded by the gov't anyway? There is no way they are going to have the backing during or after this recession/depression is over. It's back to oil!

not to mention the US is the largest exporter of oil. you think they want to give up that cash cow? the boomers running the US won't allow oil to die.

Well oil isn't dead until we have nuclear plants dedicated to the thermo-electric synthesis of long chain hydrocarbons. These molecules we pull from the ground are extraordinarily useful and ridiculously energy intense to produce. Even after this happens, oil will still exist as a traded commodity. It will just be mostly synthesized instead of pumped from the earth.

RDS made it through a fucking WORLD WAR, not to mention every recession and depression that followed after the 1940s.

I'm thinking they're a good buy at these prices.

hey I know that shit tier thumbnail style... is this a new alessio video?

>plus oil is dead

Absolute brainlet detected. Oil is the future for the next 40 years.

There is no cheaper energy source currently available. Meme renewables are prohibitively expensive without subsidies and have overwhelming downsides.

so to buy oil do you buy stonks in say WTI crude or do you buy paper oil?

You could load up now and possibly make money in the future but you might be holding for a while since we're just starting the pain. You might be able to find opportunity elsewhere for now and then invest in oil down the road.

If you buy oil you're literally supporting fascists republican oil barons who love putin
STOP SUPPORTING OIL. LET IT DIE.
we need a green new deal or else we'll always be stuck under the thumb of this orange fascist retard.

if oil goes down economy follows?

>Oil is the future for the next 40 years.
It will be around in the west for another 10-20 years until they get beaten in to submission by EVs. Lawn mowers, Chinese industrial equipment and the developing world will probably still be using gas 40 years from now though

>If you buy oil you're literally supporting fascists republican oil barons who love putin
wtf I love oil now

oil will be sustitued by other phorms of energy

>This. I guess I should have made it explicit that I'm talking about long-term investing in oil and not fast money.
You should buy ETF not stocks

>not to mention the US is the largest exporter of oil. you think they want to give up that cash cow?
it is Urss and Arabia

Ticker?
I'll go all in.

The EU is ditching it. Literally signed it today.

>There is no cheaper energy source currently available
hydrogen

>let it die
>let
Oil is the second most efficient energy source on the planet, first is nuclear.

>BUT IT'S SUBSIDIZED!!!!!
To compete with foreign nations subsidizing their own in an attempt to put our oil rigs out of business. You don't live on an isolated planet. You have rivals who want you weakened.

>It will be around in the west for another 10-20 years until they get beaten in to submission by EVs.

And where do you think the energy to charge EVs comes from, you fucking literal mental toddler?

Where do the plastics come from to mould all of the shitty trim, seats, upholstery etc?

What the fuck do you think powers pic related, which is necessary to STRIP MINE the Earth, to dig out the lithium that goes into your fucking Gook electric faggot vehicle?

God, you're so fucking scientifically illiterate, you're either American or from blebbit.

Attached: strip-mining-digger-XE93HN.jpg (1300x960, 296.6K)

To be fair, they have bucket wheel excavators that run off the electric grid at this point.

Attached: bucket wheel excavator scoops up a cat dozer.jpg (720x720, 101.99K)

And where do you think that electric grid gets power from?

Liberals are all about electric vehicles but inexplicably against nuclear power... makes 0 sense.

You forgot that there is no infrastructure to store hydrogen for mass consumption on a global scale. Factor that cost in and it's wildly expensive.

Also, you need electricity to evolve hydrogen from water. That costs energy, energy likely derived from combusting fossil fuels.

Not yet, we will see $15/bbl oil, just wait for it

And does electricity magically spurt out of a wall socket or is there an energy source needed to drive it?

Attached: 1569635592662.jpg (618x394, 34.03K)

Aren't a bunch of oil companies rated BBB and BBB- now?

Nuclear is great, I'm pro-nuclear.
That being said the up-front cost is still too high for it to displace coal or natural gas.

Yes. Big diesel engines run off of hopes and dreams actually. You just fart into the fuel tank.

be sure you post loss porn in a couple weeks after the bottom falls out

What was the announcement, I put like 5k into disney the other day when it was in the 80s just cause I thought disney under 100 was a super safe buy

Attached: 1565656018251.jpg (1000x1000, 85.59K)

Yes, not all of them are gonna make it.

When it comes to protecting American jobs or loyalty to Israel and their Saudi pets, American governments will always side with the Kikes.

Will do, its only 10% of my portfolio so I am not too worried if I lose some temporarily. I am a long term guy. Been waiting in cash for a longgg time.

It's not even just energy, every single asphalt road is made with shitloads of oil, every shingle on every house, every piece of plastic, every tire on every vehicle, etc.

We are so unbelievably far from not relying on oil

Impossible. We'd have World War.

>Russia goes all in on oil war
>We must defeat those damn Americans!
>America goes all in on electrical power

Duped again Ruskies. Get fucked.

Cant go wrong with HAL. We might drop lower but just hold who cares. You’re guaranteed money

Will some of the smaller American oil companies make it? Some have been around for decades and have good balance sheets, surely this period of hardship can't end them. The stock prices are too tempting to pass up on, literally all time lows.

Too early. Been trading it for months, and it recently broke a MULTI-DECADE LOW, and Spring/injection season is only just starting with supply well above the 5yr average AND global demand down due to pandemic-caused economic slowdown. Bearish until at least $1.5 or, possibly even $1.
