fact: after the batflu dies down, hundreds of millions, or even billions of people will have permanent lung damage.
That being said, what to invest in anticipation of this?

Digital lungs. Now on chainlink.
That's only if you get severe pneumonia, which people can get from the flu as well. The main reason covid is a big deal is because of how quickly it spreads.
Create a modernized iron lung.
Manufacturing that wont go under, transport, esp global transport etc etc etc

It's not batflu it's chinese flu or wu-flu. We didn't get it from bats, we got it from dirty fucking chinks eating fucked up shit.
oxygen tanks
wu tang flu
what the fuck you cant fit that inside a human
It's literally a nothingburger. Everyone who gets this is going to suffer minor sickness for a few days and then be fine, and the people who die were going to die anyway because of their shitty health.
I've been to /gif/
You'd be suprised what you could fit inside a human.
Stop watching tv
lol retard millions of people are gonna die in a couple months
ok bloomer
its worse than the flu bro. the pneumonia is so predictable they are using ct scans and xrays of lungs as definitive diagnosis especially in places where they are short on nasal tests. many people have it clear up but many dont its a lot worse than media is making it out to you
Cordyceps
Holy shit. This is the end, boys.
What’s with all the lung damage shill threads tonight? Did the CCP give out a 2 for 1 shill special? Enjoy your 0.02 yuan, fag.

that pasta is untrue
Idk but Yas Forums is destroyed. I know it had been going down hill for years now but these boards have been unreadable for the most part last few months with some exceptions. Figure it must be the influx of many people due to the current situation and growth in general but man I can’t stand the hive mind nothingness of these people. We need to regroup
it might as well be true for all we know.

we need to start calling it the kung fu grip
>muh lung damage
You do realize that those x-rays they keep showing often depict temporary damage, right?
>the pneumonia is so predictable they are using ct scans and xrays of lungs as definitive diagnosis
This only applies to the severe cases. Not the masses of people who have zero or only mild symptoms (and are never tested), which is the vast majority of cases.
In other words: same as the flu.
Lungs are quite good at healing themselves when not abused. Correct.
The virus is bad, and will kill millions, but it wont be the end of the world. Wuhan is slowly opening back up again. Very slowly, but normalisation is coming. Just depends on whether or not the west can survive the quarantine period with their economies in tact.
Judging by the fact that this virus peaks according to a very similar timeline as the flu, my guess is the West will soon transition to a lockdown for the elderly and vulnerable only.
This is really what they should've done from the start, considering how little this thing affects the non-elderly.
>It will be like the Spanish flu bro because this old shit newspaper said so
>eat bat soup
>get lung disease
It’s like Nazis are a special kind of retarded.
Corona is nothing like the Spanish flu.
Pic related, the primary victims of the Spanish flu were people in their prime.
Corona almost exclusively impacts the elderly.
A bugout bag, because as soon as enough of the US military is crippled by corona scarring, China will land on the west coast to provide "humanitarian support" for Chinese "American" citizens.
Actually no. There was a report from NYS that showed that they were even having normal patients coming to hospital due to car accidents were found to have lung damage from covid-19 despite not showing symptoms.
>history never repeats itself cause muh feels
corona is worse than the flu, it's actually a more contagious SARS and could have long lasting lung damage. the chart you posted doesnt tell the full story: the average age in 1918 was about 40yrs old... hardly killing ppl in their prime.
now this would be epic
do you have a graph for each wave of the spanish flu?
actually average age was more like 50-55 going into 1918, but my point still stands
>history will repeat itself even though spanish flu and coronavirus are entirely different just be a paranoidmoron like me bro
Well the regular flu also has a common lung damage component. That's where its basic coughing symptoms stem from.
sciencedaily.com
>history wont repeat itself because corona is worse than the flu
>In contrast, a 2007 analysis of medical journals from the period of the pandemic[12][13] found that the viral infection was no more aggressive than previous influenza strains. Instead, malnourishment, overcrowded medical camps and hospitals, and poor hygiene promoted bacterial superinfection.
I swear, some people just love to suffer in their silly end-of-the-world fantasies
>that pasta is untrue
Sauce
>average age was 55
So the primary victims (by far) of the Spanish flu were still younger than the average age.
For corona, the primary victims (by far) are older than the average age.
No reason the age profile would change.
>corona is entirely different to the spanish flu
>the spanish flu wasnt even that bad
>The 1918 influenza pandemic occurred in multiple waves. The most current theory on exactly what happened to cause this is that the initial epidemic was an outbreak of seasonal, mild flu. The second outbreak was the highly pathogenic strain which infected an estimated 1/3 of the global population, with about a 2.5% of that 1/3 succumbing to the disease[1]. The vast majority of people who died of flu in 1918-19 were between 18-35 in the prime of their physical conditions as opposed to the usual high impact of flu on the very young and very old with preexisting conditions.
>nCoV-2019 is much different. For starters, it is not related to influenza, not even close. It does not have the ability to reassort like influenza does, and is much less prone to mutating [3]. In addition to this, we're living in the 21st century, that means established public health infrastructure, antibiotics, and massively improved hygiene and sanitation. This is all to say that 1) this virus isn't nearly as severe as influenza and 2) we have resources in place to combat it.
This is too easy... I'm now really convinced paranoidmorons just love to suffer in general even when the evidence is against them
thats a man
most were middle aged at least. If you combine the over 45s and the over 65s group in your chart they make up about the same amount as those in the 25-45 range who would be classed as middle aged. So it hit mostly middle aged or elderly. Granted, it did kill a significant amount of younger people too, but there is still the unknown factor with Corona which leaves the door open to its chances of becoming more deadly to younger people.
These threads are funny to me, being one of the few people here that has actually gotten and recovered from the chinese virus, it wasn't bad but it gave me a weird confused feeling. I didn't enjoy that part. I felt high
>I'm now really convinced paranoidmorons just love to suffer in general even when the evidence is against them
That's the majority of people on here.
>most were middle aged at least.
Most were just below middle age.
The vast majority of victims were people in their prime (25-45)
Christ you really are an absolute spacker aren't you
>45 years old is prime when the average life expectancy is 50-55
I might have had it too, had itchy eyes, a dry coof, and a raspy voice (and mild headache and some muscle ache) a few days after lockdown started.
This is probably the extent of symptoms for the vast majority of cases.
Literally yes.
It's not like these people had progeria you know.
>That's the majority of people on here.
True
>Christ you really are an absolute spacker aren't you
Why? Because I don't fall for your dumb fantasies?
45 years old isnt even prime with today's life expectancy you coping faggot
>45 years old isnt even prime with today's life expectancy
lmao but of course it is.
Because you're literally too stupid to follow the thread. It's like arguing with a nigger who thinks he's smart while the entire point is blown over his stupid nigger head. Wanna know how I know you're a nigger?
>lmao but of course it is
You go inside of it not the other way around.
Retard alert
Buddybro, 45 is the absolute limit of that age candle.
It ranges from 25 to 45.
That's prime human age no matter how you want to twist and squirm.
And 45 is absolutely part of prime human age in today's society.
If the average life expectancy is 50-55 than 30+ is middle aged. Therefore most people who died were middle aged or older.
And no, 45 is not a human being's prime even in todays age you fucking idiot. How many athletes are at the top of their field at 45 years old? 45 years old is basically middle aged.
Surprisingly reasonable post
>gets blown the fuck out
>haha he isn't a paranoidmoron like me might as well call him a nigger that'll show him
You sure showed me, retard
Even disregarding all your mental gymnastics; the primary victims of Spanish flu were well BELOW the average age at the time, while the primary victims of corona are well ABOVE the current average age.
>muh 45
So funny to watch you cling to the absolute extremity of that age candle that ranges from TWENTY-FIVE (25) to 45.
Coping HARD.

It's a nasty virus, but this is literally filled with falsities to the point of being an alarmist LARP. Please don't get your info from greentext posts on Yas Forums otherwise you're no better than those boomers believing in QAnon.
