Thanks anons. Free tip, check out AFLYY if you do want to go airlines, Air France is a very established airline that does a lot of travel between the US and Europe, as well as within Europe, with Paris as its center. Very vulnerable, likely to get bailed out because France, but not included in plans for US airline bailouts because not US company. But don't buy too much at once because I'm poor and want it to keep going steadily down until I get my paychecks, and since it's a foreign KLM thing on the NYSE I don't klnow what kind of volume it trades at.

What a retard. >"Yes I'm going to shut down the economy for West Virginia, which has 0 COVID-19 cases, in the same way we're shutting down the economy for New York, which has 25,000 cases. Genius!"

You gotta take screencaps of the bad news so conspiracy boomers who visit Yas Forums can repost them on Facebook, user.
How can the americans release 2k billion USD stimulus packages, seemingly out of the blue without it causing inflation? Where does this money come from? Who recieves it? How can people outside of the transaction tell that the transaction has occured? How exactly is the stimulus package released? Who gets to choose who recieves what amount?
t. curious small saver, hoping to learn more :)
Elijah Hill
What if the stimulus deal includes no share buy backs as a condition?

>Why would he do this if he already said he's already trying to open the country back up? He overheard a couple WH interns talking about sneaking in a few cases of Corona, then freaked the fuck out. No one can talk him down.
is there any advantage to buying a long call over the individual stock if the long call is more expensive?
like 1 call for 100 shares is $500 but the individual stock only costs $50 so you could just buy the stock for the same price and hold the physical security without fear of depreciation over time. why are options like this more expensive than the underlying stock?
The money comes courtesy of us the tax payer and future generations of tax payer and the global retards still dumb enough to buy oil in USD and also countries dumb enough still to buy US bonds which is the rest of the world and that's how we do it kid!
So tommorow it's green and the red for a week then green for a day then red for a week and this will be the bottom? Checked btw
Julian Mitchell
Nah. They're working on it. CNBC article from three hours ago does a decent job of going through the points of contention. Nancy's stupid replacement bill is not being considered. They're working on some changes to the existing bill.
imagine people who sold because ackman cried on cnbc. That's how fucking dumb this market thinking a billionaire has feelings and goes on CNBC to express them. Then he got 2.5b in cheapies. While bears called him a sensitive baby and doubled down on puts/shorts.
Jack Thomas
Well the graphs are uncannily similar.

Just buy the common shares in that case. Buying the call is speculation both the underlying will run up and the call will retain its value in kind relative to your buy price.
Nicholas Roberts
He said they'd look at the situation in 15 days and evaluate if it would be best to reopen things then. The media promptly said "Trump is trying to kill you for muh capitalism by opening businesses", and you believed it because you still believe them. Watch any given press conference stream on The White House Youtube channel, they have them like every day or two. Someone literally asked the president if he thought he was causing racism against Chinese-Americans by referring to COVID-19 as "the Chinese disease" in response to the Chinese spreading the story in China that it started from US tourists since grorious nation can do no wrong. It just werks and definitely is not fake as long as enough of you keep believing in it -t. federal reserve and most modern economists In other words, never feel bad for cuttthroat trading, because the monetary system is already gamed and dishonest.

Non essential businesses translated to malls and restaurants/bars. Everything else is functioning normally. We aren’t even short on toilet paper.

I hate to break this to you, but charts have almost a fractal like pattern to them. If you change scales and zoom and out enough you can make anything look like anything. It's interesting and something to keep in mind sure, but it's likely coincidental at this point. N = 2 is hardly enough to form a prior. This isn't as concrete as mathematical induction.
Camden Reed
I've hardly done any moves. Just scalping a bit here and there lately. Rotating my picks based on what's working or not etc.
Imagine actually holding after close today, sucker every minute.
Luke Evans
Sure. That doesn't mean the thing is dead.
Chase Kelly
>We aren’t even short on toilet paper. True. I saw CVS selling them individually by the roll, which they usually don't do, in addition to the typical packages. Prices were raised and it was limited to 1 per person, but the point stands. I'm still in confusion over why toilet paper of all things. Just wash your ass.

The republicunts want to send billions to major corporations without giving any trumpbux to us NEETs. It's like the Wall street bailout of 2008 all over again. The little person will be screwed while the airlines and cruise companies that squandered all their profits will get free money
not a good analogy at all. this is a temporary problem that will resolve in short time as the virus clears itself out and runs out of people to infect. if it was deadly and killed like over 10% of people it infects i migt agree with you but for most working age people this is a flu
From what I understand, with a call you're expecting the future price of the stock to increase past the strike price of the options contract. If the stock does indeed move past the strike price and then some, then the call you have immediately becomes more valuable as you have the right to purchase those 100 securities at a cheaper rate. Additionally volatility factors into option pricing, as it rises (indicating that greater option price movement is expected), the more option premiums increase.
Some other user correct me if I'm wrong, but I hope this helps.

I literally paced back and forth in front of my computer all day after buying it premarket at $25 and could have done that. I wanted to wait for it to hit 27. Now I just want to kill myself. If it doesn't rally a little bit tonight (thereby giving a signal that it'll do well tomorrow) then I'm selling before 8 PM hits. My stack is literally my entire portfolio.
James Perez
It's all by a computer. That computer says "give Bill Somedog $40,000" Then that info is sent to your bank's computer. Bank computer says ok. Bill checks his account next day. Sees he's 40k richer. It's that simple. Same shit that works at your job anymore. If it's direct deposit then some computer somewhere controls when on what dates the "money" is released to the employees. It's all digital info. The only time actual cash enters into it is if at your bank or at an ATM you request it. (or via the cashback option at Kroger/Wal-mart)

Remember when people were posting charts from other pandemics and expecting an 8-12% dip? Now people are posting charts of the Great Depression and expecting 60%.
Unemployment and GDP are not correlated to stock market performance

If that be the case, then how come nobody in the U.S. govt. has caught wind of this, or knows and isn't saying anything about it.

Why is everyone such a fucking pussy? The cure to every physical ailment is alcohol, when I get corona I will just drink some strong rum throughout the day, solves everything.
who do you guys think is manipulating this whole shit like this and profiting massively off of it? Jim Simons or some shit like that?
Jaxon Stewart
Guess he MIST the boat

No, see, both are socialism and all of you who support either should really curb your anti-consent serfdom bullshit. But your whining gets especially old because both corporations and rich individuals pay such enormous tax rates that the bailouts are just part of the extra robbery back.

Holy shit, we are still weeks behind Italy and our trajectory is worse than Italy, Trump is absolutely fucking delusional

ha. Yeah never believe a hedgie making an emotional plea. They're snakes. All. A hedgie only cries if he thinks he can make more money because of it... or he bet too big and liquidated himself.
imagine people who think this is over. and the panic that hasn't even started for good in murica is going to decrease after their hapless leader starts freestyling on national tv when the numbers go down and more states go into quarantine, after he told them he wants to put people back to work.
Connor Martin
Stop falling for the bot meme. Algo bots are still primitive, they need someone pointing them in the right direction.

Actual pre-2020 risk studies on pandemics have it about 25% down in equities.
They aren't accurate at all. That's with 19,000,000 deaths and 7 months to a vaccine.
