Say a stock is trading at 20$. I sell a put option at 19.5$. I get the premium, if it falls below the price I have to buy at 19.5$.
Now I sell a call option at 20$. I get the premium again and have to sell the stock if the price rises above 20$.
Rinse and repeat, I'm collecting premiums ad infinitum.
Is there a name for this strategy?
The risk is that after having sold the put option the price collapses and I have to buy far above market price so this would only be recommendable for stable stocks in a calm market situation.
