Unemployment is going to go through the roof because businesses aren't profitable and can't stay up even for a week when the economy grinds to a halt. There's going to be layoffs up the ass this year. Real estate is going to fall like a brick because there are no buyers due to so many people getting financially ruined. Then there's the fact that the moment rates go up, anyone who has debt is going to be unable to cope with it. Boomers have refinanced the shit out of their homes and depend on the price always going up. Which it won't. Real estate is absolutely and royally ruined when it starts coming down. 30% drop is nothing. We will see 70% drops at the bottom. It's just going to take a while to get there. Give it 3 years and we'll see ridiculously cheap homes.
