Won't the economy be better if people make their own food instead of getting workers to do it for them...

Won't the economy be better if people make their own food instead of getting workers to do it for them? It would free up so many people in the food service industries.

>It would free up so many people in the food service industries.
To do what? Sit at home and generate zero economic activity?

is it just me or did the average iq of this board drop in the last two weeks?

people doing things for other people is the economy.

>won't the economy be better if people generate less demand?

what if everyone just built their own homes

it would free up so many workers in the construction industry

my boss just freed me up to work elsewhere
only problem is that nowhere else is hiring ;_;

The economy would be better if every woman quit their job to cook and clean.

No because the healthcare industry would lose 50% of their business over the next few years as people get skinnier and healthier from not eating addictive processed bread meat and cheese for every meal.

Fast food is a billion dollar industry that would collapse and the specialty maunfacturing plants and farms that make all of their products would dry up and americans would lose even more jobs.

Grocery stores would see a decent rise in profits and even hire a portion of these no-low skill fly over factory workers but nothing even close to what the fast food industry currently employs.

I'd expect a small amount of Japanese tier gas stations and corner stores to sprout up as well. Also for older chains to increase the quality of the items that they sell to compensate.

Know that I say this as an American that hates all fast food and a majority of restaurants with the exception of specialty local mom and pop joints and Chick Fila.

is this european mcdonalds or something?? why is the car in the wrong direction

Europoor drive through or the picture could be mirrored for whatever reason, you are probably autistic for asking though.

Yeah but fast food is bad for the environment in the long run though - uses up resources.

Building a house takes more skill than cooking though.

the logo on the bag isnt flipped

Good luck making a hamburger in 3 minutes flat along with fries. It actually takes quite some work and time to cook reasonably well. That's why many can't cook at all and reliant on fast food and service workers, or why some people don't have time.

or the fucking passenger is taking the food

literally every single drivethrough ive ever been to is the other way around

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EVERYTHING HAS TO STAY AS IT HAS ALWAYS BEENARINO! CHANGE BAD CHANGE BAD!

The entire fast food industry could collapse tomorrow and I wouldnt even blink. Health wise the general american public would benefit greatly over the long term but in the short term we would see alot of flyover and southern states completly die overnight.

>Yas Forums
>people don't want things to happen that will affect the economy negatively
this is somehow surprising to you?

fast food doesn't have to be unhealthy tho

i will be doing my part and buying cheeseburgers with my blumpf bucks to stimulate the economy

Have fun, do whatever you want user it's your money.

It has it's place, shouldnt be an every day type of thing though

Correct, if only the masses today knew how to make there own food.

I'm looking forward to comfy home made pasta.

>Won't the economy be better if people make their own food
The economy wouldn't be better, the people would definitely be better off

Sadly it's most likely not food what u are getting at fastfoods, it's diabetes, overweight, those leading to further illness.

But there is positive news to it, those who abused it might actually not overpopulate the earth with gluttony genes (caused by ignorance)

Uk or Australia

It's the UK, both people in the image aren't white.

Freedoms!

ive only been here for about 2 weeks (not posting) and I'm baffled by how low iq is of posters here. And I mean by Yas Forums standards, this is literally the dumbest board I've ever come across. People have no understanding of how world, society or economies function.

Imagine the contamination there

finally someone with a brain. people think if you get fired you suddenly have the free time to start the next microsoft

who tf cares about the environment?

>Won't the economy be better if millions of south Americans are roaming the streets instead of doing jobs intended for highschoolers

Jesus, didn't like 7th grade history class teach you about specialization. We don't need our doctors and engineers to be making their own shit when farmers can do it mass with way more efficiency.

Not all European countries have the driver seat on the left and not all countries with the driver seat on the left is in Europe.

obsessed

So people digging holes and filling them again is good for the economy if it's done for someone else?

> economic demand is psychological manipulation

you're a faggot.

Unironically yes. A caveman/hemit would consider most of our "productive" jobs little more than digging and filling holes. And when you look at entire industry like lawyers, it's hard to prove them wrong.

It wouldn't help the economy, but it would significantly reduce the fragility of our society. Society in general should be looking heavily into ways for people to reliably fulfill basic modern needs like food, electricity, heating, etc. because we rely far too much on the economy and merely hope supply will never see roadbumps like the coronavirus. In fact, I'll go even further; making it easy to be self-sufficient and moving as many things as possible into the public domain/copyleft would reduce the untold amount of suffering caused by useless wageslavery.

You think digging holes and refilling them is the same as making people lunch? Why do we respond to people like this? Sure, this person is a fucking retard, but what does it say about me that I’m spending time writing this? We all deserve to die for communicating with you. If you were on the street corner, we’d rightfully ignore your gibberish and avoid eye contact with you. You stupid fucking lunatic.

Why do Europeans have the drivers seat on the wrong side?

Good post.

Get into a grocery store. Or get the knee pads back out

The demand for cooking is still there, it's just being met right on the spot by the supply of cooking coming from the same person. It just werks

They drive on the wrong side of the road in Europe. I don’t like it.

I actually started going to drive throughs after the virus hit.
Fast food is gross, but I'm going to make money with these fast food stocks.

It would be very anti-Semitic. We need fast food industry so that the Jewish can get more profits. There is no time for cooking you must work, work, and work and spend, spend and spend.

They would be forced to get a better job

>He isn't in the hole business
lmao

Part of the problem is our economy is designed as such that we have too many people and not enough for them to do.
What are they going to be 'freed up' to do ?
People working at fast food places are either young and just need money, or desperate and just need money.
It's not like they're going to code some new AI dildo detection algorithm for facebook and make a billion dollars.
They'll just become sewer rats living underground and eating stray cats.

Makes you wonder what they're good for, doesn't it? And this isn't just a slight against service fags, think of how much of the middle class is just adminstrative make work.

They won't though.
1) there aren't enough spaces available in the 'job tier' just above them
2) if they've been in service industry for a long time, they're not capable of doing much else.

There's an autistic tendency when discussing economics to think of people as fluid economic units that can just move around. That's not realistic at all and isn't how the job market works, especially if you're at the bottom.

Im thinking of gettingva duck or goose so i can have some fresh eggs maybe.

1) find a new job
2) starve

>t. broken window economics.

That's how she goes.
But now you see why in a democracy, people will simply vote for free money.
Because 1) is beyond their abilities and 2) is unthinkable to them.

No, you must consoom cheaply made shift after an exhausting day of getting yelled at by your bosses idiot son.

That’s literally true

But most jobs slowly fall out of demand. Pretty sure in the 60's the most common jobs were factory workers and farmers but times change. They didn't all die they found better jobs. Same thing would happen today

>Environment
>Economy
Pick one and stick with it you retard
