So given that the Las Vegas Strip just shut down and casino companies are almost certain to see their stocks plummet tomorrow, is buying them up a safe bet? They're already so fucking low that it feels like even if they dip even further, you can still make a huge amount of money once things turn around again.
Adam Jenkins
There's no way I'm sleeping. I have all my shit in SQQQ and I know right before the market opens it's going to crash.
Zachary Adams
I'm beyond bullish as fuck right now. Has nothing to do with optimism, more to do with seeing low IQ bear arguments take control.
I was bearish in February
At this point I'm bullish but it's going to take a bit for the slow ass shit brains to go bullish. Everyone is going to get carried away with being bearish
This shit is literally the most obvious part of the market, over-optimism and over-pessimism. It's fucking super expected.
Even the "all a scam, Gold 5000, buy food and bullets" crowd is enthused and buying their own bullshit.
Joseph Gutierrez
Yes, but also remember that the top is infinity.
Ending the lockdown will make their cases flare up again in a month though.
Also when you see people saying "tsla 200" or "tsla 0" seriously in the thread again you know bears are super fucked.
Aiden Collins
Red. I dunno what you want to be satisfied with "crash". This is a crash. You're in it.
Joseph Jones
2400! habbening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Luis Phillips
Saudis and Russians have nationalized oil. They can pump oil at a loss for years, it doesn't completely matter what their profit point is. This is a war to them.
Alexander Bailey
Old news its already priced in hence why the casino stocks have shit the bed the past two days? Gotta be quicker than that
Jaxon Reyes
That's cost of extraction, the cost to actually take crude out of the ground, barrel it and sell it.
Unfortunately the Saudis also have to support their entire country on oil revenues. The cost they need to do that is much higher.
Jayden Martin
Guys what makes bears so fun to be around than bulls?
Is it possible to rapidly sell thousands of options contracts? Navigating through the options ui to sell 200 at a time is fucking annoying.
Christopher Allen
bears are fine, people bearish on tsla are an entirely different breed
Austin Butler
Going to crash? Are you retarded? Its gonna pop up at opening
Asher Baker
Oil is literal black garbage kek
Do you think all the big motherfucking names are divesting because of altruism? Saudi has how much oil they can pump at what cost? Think they are gonna want to be stuck with all that shit in the ground as it becomes worthless due to EV.
Think a stay at home revolution won't stick to some degree for years?
Lincoln Miller
I want DOW at 18k
Matthew Nelson
>2400.75 NOT SO FAST BEARS
Lincoln Moore
>That's cost of extraction, the cost to actually take crude out of the ground, barrel it and sell it. na.. i heard it was all of it.. drilling, pumping, transportation.. etc...
More authentic smugness, because the Bulls know it's over.
Owen Young
I'll settle for a few circuit breakers
Hudson Ross
they can produce very cheap but they have a government to fund. their entire economy is based on oil, remember. they can sell oil for a profit down to around $10 but i believe they need it above about $30 to maintain and grow their government expenditures. this isn't great for them. i have never actively traded in my life other than to buy oil right now. i think it's going back up to $50/barrel and stocks will shoot up 50-70% in the next year. Who knows, but at the end of the day it sure seems like a good buy to me.
Also, XOM paying about a 10% dividend right now.
Nolan Fisher
The intern in charge of manipulating the S&P must be real bored right now because these patterns are bullshit
by the way check my ID, also kill yourself trip faggot
Jeremiah Thomas
Would have been funnier if it said "And for my best trick" And if there were like 100 rabbits with spending on them in the background
Joshua Sanders
well i hope oil bounces back up.. not rooting for u.s. companies.. could get ugly.. I think oil futures would be better play
Bentley Green
ok so i was memed into buying SQQQ right? still not even over $30 after all this..
Nathaniel Murphy
It's not old news, they formally shut the strip down just a couple of hours ago. Casino stocks were taking a shit from a number of other factors, I can't see how this wouldn't add to that. Even then, casino stocks are hilariously low compared to where they normally are, feels like so long as they don't go out of business that it's almost guaranteed profit in the long-run.
Jayden Davis
yes buy tommrow immediately and double it at power hour
nah, CVX and MRO are pulling back. MRO has $1 per share in just cash.
XOM on the other hand is much more aggressive. their borrowing costs are very, very low however and they are pretty much OK for a few years at these prices.
this price war will only really affect share prices for majors, none of the big dogs are going bankrupt.
Joshua Morgan
Bears only get to truly post when there is a happening, and Yas Forums loves happenings more than anything else.
>saudis cripple the cometition in the next few weeks/months and then decide they want to play nice with OPEC again My prediction, going in $5000 on OIL and $5000 on XOM
Jacob Martinez
Anyone know?
Also, does anyone know what this means from fidelity:
"Transactions occurring on 03/17/2020 created a margin debit of $397,432.54. Please note that your core account and non-core money market positions will automatically liquidate to pay down this debt before you begin accruing margin interest charges.
Next Step To avoid paying margin interest, liquidate securities or deposit cash by settlement date."
Core = cash right? They'll automatically use my free cash and then start charging me interest, but they won't liquidate my position automatically?
>The rest of the week I doubt it and even if that's true there's no way it'll run next week. They're locking down a bunch of states and crime is temporarily legal in Pennsylvania as long as it's non-violent.
Cooper Rodriguez
how to invest in opium overdose treatment
Jacob Sanchez
My retirement account has lost 30% lmao! Good thing its only 3 years old and my bonus is next month. I also have my normal account, sold most of my stocks now, 50% cash, 30% stock, 20% options. Just going to make short plays for near/mid term gains.
Pick up the phone and call them, dude. Your account is large enough that they will actually give a shit. Also make sure you set multiple alarms for 0915 through 0930 from now on.
Why don't you just call them? Chances are the customer service rep can sell any contracts for you and would at least be able to explain what's going on.
Connor Bailey
Russia losing oil revenue + corona virus slowdown + the EU shitting its pants and shutting down borders seem like a bad time for russia
Blake Barnes
Hey leaf here needing advice.
What are the main oil stocks in canada?
Luis Rogers
>Think they are gonna want to be stuck with all that shit in the ground as it becomes worthless due to EV. I feel bad for you for being a massive fucking retard. $1.xx gas is coming soon in the US - nobody, NOBODY is going to buy an electric car. even if gas was $3.50 a gallon...your lack of understanding of how the world works is just precious. do you understand how elon musk ships his batteries, powers his factories? do you understand how plastic is made? do you understand that the world population is going to double in the next 80 years...and what that means for fossil fuels?
No of course you don't.
Owen Sullivan
Isn't this like, quite old by now? Missing UK and California... if this were really a big deal over nothing, would corporations and governments be sacrificing profits like this?
Can someone please explain to a brainlet like myself how the OPEC/oil situation fits into this shitting fucking mess?
Justin Jackson
Good luck with those oil bags. I'm too "ethical" to invest in something soon to be worth shit
Juan Carter
Congrats, now you've got to buy at least one share of...RMB Holdings Ltd? The fuck?
Josiah Thompson
nah. but it's a good buy right now either way. low oil prices mean oil companies are taking a beating; they're a big part of the world's economy. otherwise it's great for the economy
Jaxson Clark
We live in an overprotective world. As long as they hear "up to 2,000,000 deaths in USA" shit they aren't fucking around.
We freak out over school shootings and how many die that way a year? It's not rational
Well the real problem is, it doesn't at all yet. The entire focus is on the virus, and that's the real problem. There's OPEC, a monumental disaster that absolutely no one realizes the scope of. You are going to see a decimation of so many American small businesses as a result, there's nothing to do to stop that. Then, the more sadly, in comparison, minor issue that the U.S. can no longer be a net exporter of oil. All of that is going to hit when we see a massive spike in unemployment, on a very stressed economy. Oh, yeah, hey guys, you do remember Iran killed another American a few days ago? You think that won't be dealt with? We're going to war within 6 months likely, a year guaranteed.
Adam Wright
alright jokes aside is GUSH a play or not
Grayson Cook
People are getting sick RIGHT NOW which means there are literally thousands of people who wont be sick for at least another WEEK.
Logan Reed
lmao you are an idiot all the shit you use is built by diesel chugging heavy equipment, oil is not going anywhere
Ethan King
>We're going to war within 6 months likely, a year guaranteed. I agree with everything except this last part. Iran is royally fucked by Corona right now. We wouldnt go into a war with them while they have a pandemic going on. War is the fastest way to spread disease.
Dylan Smith
Right, and then jumped up to it again 30 minutes after opening. I bought it today around 24
Given a mortality rate of 1%, an intensive care rate of 2%, and 60% of the adult population infected, we have ...
>abt. 1,000,000 Americans dead >abt. 2,000,000 Americans needing intensive care
And you know that mortality rate is going to increase when we run out of 'intensive care' to give. The low IQ retards are the bulls who literally cannot look beyond their fingers at what will be happening one month, two months, three months down the line. We risk massive social disorder if people are turned away from hospitals or their relatives are simply left to die due to lack of capacity.
What do you think will happen the moment after someone sees a white woman take precedence over a black woman in Baltimore or Los Angeles hospital triage? What do you really think? How will Chinese and Asian minorities be treated by the native populace when the Church pastor died due to the "Chinese virus"?
The average bear is motivated by this quarter's earnings. The bear with foresight understands that there's more than this quarter's earnings at stake, he understands that this may lead to a full blown race war with Congolese rape stadiums and deployment of the National Guard as in Los Angeles, Baltimore, New Orleans under similar circumstances not so long ago.
How do you think U.S. stocks will perform under martial law, street-to-street looting, and people shooting each other in the streets? Does that sound very bullish to you?
Evan Scott
Lmao based
Blake Stewart
he thinks the virus will stop spreading in the summer months, like the seasonal flu. It's not impossible. It may be what Trump is banking on. By the time people are getting sick again, they'll have made their decisions on who to vote for. And he'll have someone to blame it on. "oh that outbreak is because such and such governer did this terribly!!" I don't know something like that.
shut up and go buyback some amrn
Nathan Bell
Mcd is better risk adjusted. I like WEN because franchise investors constantly rave about Wendy being the best, and all these fastfood companies return shareholder value through Franchise operations (real estate) not necessarily food. Jack in the Box has crashed beyond what I thought was possible but I think there will be a quick rebound you can capture by april to mid 30s
Are futures usually this flat? We've been at 2,400 +/-3 for an hour.
Benjamin Morgan
>The entire focus is on the virus, and that's the real problem The market is well aware of the oil situation and that is the reason this crash has proceeded so quickly. Market is also well aware that this puts a lot of companies running with small moat at serious risk. Corona alone would have been a slower bleed.
Easton Barnes
I didn't know I could do that. How much flexibility do I have with them selling for me? Can I watch a chart for the first few minutes after market open and say "okay, put in a limit order here... NOW!" or what?
Charles Hall
It's not that deadly.
It has an insane R0 that surprises humans. It's an entirely psychological effect that is causing the panic.
Take the regular flu Juice it's R0 and make it +50% deadlier that's what it is.
Dylan Morris
Aussies getting slaughtered. Just a taste of whats to come bulls.
how do you not realize sarcasm? it's in quotes! I'm being baited again, aren't I?
No, futures are usually less that 1% in either direction. For most of the time, I've thought of a gap of more than that as significant. This is not flat, this is insanely volatile.
>SPY: 240 lol, still only 240. How many hours has it been stuck at 2400? Four hours? Five hours?
Christopher Moore
>sick people infect more people >2 more weeks of sick people who also make more sick people >which makes 2 more weeks of sick people Your little insect brain can't image a future more than a week ahead? Can't comprehend that the number of sick people increases over time? Tiny little bug brain thinks all sick people get sick at the same time?
John Walker
exactly this. well said. just wait until CBS New York starts plastering stories about """""underserved"""" nigger neighborhoods where gramma's dead body had to stank up da houf for an entire week because de raycis ambalamps won't come down he to da projeks.
just wait until, like you said, there are triage decisions made where niggers have to wait in line and are denied care in inner cities.
it's going to be a reckoning unlike anything this country has ever seen. complete dissolution of social order. coming to a theater near you...3 weeks.
