My buddy who works in corporate of one of the local food stores says they're not expecting shipments of meat for another week. I checked all 4 of the food stores in my area and they are all EMPTY.

Where I am (Texas) there were lines stretching around the supermarket and a bunch of things were gone. Meat, fruits and veggies, bread/dry spaghetti, milk (some guy had about 5 gallons of milk), etc. So fucking dumb, and that was last night, and the panic still carried on today and will probably carry on through the weekend.

And it was unrelated to the panic, I'm just a neet shut-in who hates having to go out to get groceries, it's more practical to have lots of stock for voluminous and non perishable stuff like tp and water packs, and it turns out ordering online in bulk ends up being cheaper anyway. Can food is such a meme though, tastes like trash, just go to the butcher, get meat in bulk and freeze it. Another superior alternative which normies don't think about if it were the apocalypse tomorrow are big bags of whey and oats.

The meat is gone in Ontario too , it’ll be back soon but will probably go just as quick. I work in grocery stores and I can say today was the busiest I’ve ever seen. Whole entire paper aisle is gone, cans are gone , other shelves are 50% max.
