I spend about half the year “traveling.” But yes, traveling the meme is fake and gay. I don’t have Instagram, i hate tourist traps, posting selfies and i hate “traveling” (the meme). However, I love coming to Europe/eastern europe for months at a stretch. I bought a house in Ukraine for $15k. It’s nice, it has a garden, it’s my own. I live like a guest worker in America; I come, I work nonstop for a few months saving every penny and living like a Moldovan student on work holiday. Then, I invest the majority and take the rest of the year off relaxing in Ukraine, Poland, Sweden (sometimes), Lithuania, Hungary, Romania, Iceland, Germany etc etc I love it. I have so much free time to catch up on sleep, exercise, self improvement, reading, living.... what say you? Am I wasting my money? I could never go back to $2,000 a month rent and year round wage cage. Don’t buy the travel meme but also don’t miss out on just how affordable life can be outside of the west. Living is important

I've traveled more than most people just for fun. Both when I was a kid with my family and now that I am an adult I try to visit a new country at least once a year. They are some of the defining experiences of my life so far. I've gotten far more education from my travels than I did in 18 years of school

I like visiting places to learn about them I spend almost all of my time in museums, markets, and historical monuments. I take pictures only of interesting sights for myself to look back at when I feel like reminiscing. To obtain new experiences and gain perspective on all the stuff in the world. Me personally I don’t like to travel unless it involves a physical experience. Mountain biking, skiing, fishing, camping, etc. I guess I don’t mind see a new place and just exploring and shooting the shit with locals, but I much prefer having a plan to do something and a goal to achieve. Unfortunately travel has become a total meme due to IG and social media but it is what it is. You should be living your life for you and your friends/family anyway, not random strangers on the internet

There are two types of travel. One where you are young and the goal is personal experience and expand your outlook. I did it with friends in my 20s. Some was good some as bad, it wasnt comfortable most of the time. A lot of organizing bs to deal with like managing travel accommodation and money etc

Second type of travel I do with my wife now where we buy into some kind of package trip where it's like a ride and we just sit in the middle of it and get a luxury experience. It's like a
travel show but irl. I love it and even if you don't give a fuck about the place you are going the nice hotels, the food, and environments make it an enjoyable experience. I think my
ext ine will be a Whiskey Japan tour. Never need to think about shit just enjoy the trip and being guided.

Think, have you ever had "ethnic food"? Do you like mexican food, chinese food, indian food, etc.? That's just a convenient example of how we have the same concept (eating) but different cultures approach it entirely differently and come up with different approaches and results. And you'll sometimes find you really like that result, and you may choose to adopt some features or things about that style of doing things.

Same goes for every facet of living. People approach living and everything within it in different ways. Travel is a way of sourcing these new ideas
