if Dragon Ball Z is the anime version of Fast & Furious, then this is the anime version of The Wire
If Dragon Ball Z is the anime version of Fast & Furious, then this is the anime version of The Wire
No it's Anime Firefly
>Firefly
So it’s not Gurren Lagann?
What's the anime version of Sopranos?
Baccano
Evangelion, duh
Has there been any decent anime in the last few years? Everything seems like shit.
Vinland Saga is half-decent, Manga is better but duh.
Honestly the only anime that has grabbed my attention in the last decade is Non Non Biyori
I imagine there are animation galley-slaves who can draw these exact two characters almost reflexively, as often as their design is re-used in Japan's shit animation industry.
This is also great.
firefly is outlaw star
What sets it apart from the other 650 animes that share its design and setting?
Aside from Mob Psycho nothing really, which is kinda sad.
I can't imagine how sad your father is that you never got into flesh-and-blood females and instead wasted your life on this sort of trash.
Its actually amazing tho
You guys gotta expand your tastes.
I read the entirety of Mob Psycho 100 and frankly was not impressed. One Punch Man at least stretches the genre a bit, MP100 is just genre trash with added ridiculousness.
I cannot see what people see in it.
I'm Yas Forums married with one kid and trying for a second. Stay gay nigger.
Naah Baccano is a Tarantino movie. I'd go with 91 days
Porco Rosso
Seen a large chunk of it. Some of it is not very great. The later Stand Alone Complex is vastly better than Dominion's corn.
Shame animation never did Shirow's Orion, and that he degenerated into Blacked porn.
Is outlaw star any good?
Good on you, I'm glad lurking on Yas Forums and recommending shit is just a side-hobby for you.
Its a decent tv show anime. Nothing revolutionary but certainly worth checking out.
I would say the worst of that list is better than 90% of the seasonal stuff that has been pumped out in the last few years. Also the list is just for pre-2000 obscure stuff so it wouldn't include something like SAC. Big fan of SAC, shame it's being literally raped into a trash fire by netflix.
It's good. A lot of the love is rooted in nostalgia for people in their late 20s/early 30s people because of the fact it aired early on in the afternoon toonami anime block. It's not ground breaking, but I am sure it created a few fetishes.
I've read enough to know to avoid that CGI monstrosity, never cared for the older CGI Appleseed stuff either.
I agree that much of that list is just popular old shit, a lot of it is not so good, and good stuff is excluded from it.
pretty fun
Its got a cool adventure with a pretty stupid idea of ships actually fighting but its still enjoyable. The main character has a pretty cool gun and a harem with one being a super strong brown cat girl.
The ending gets stupid with the anime bullshit but overall i recommend it.
Also, I just want a good Blu Ray set of SAC, among a few other things that have never seen a good Blu Ray (or even DVD) release.
It's the one I happened to watch. And "grabbed my attention" means "watched more than 3 episodes"
I enjoy Vinland Saga, One Punch Man, Mob Psycho. I enjoy Demon Slayer and Dororo too but im sure Yas Forums hated them both.
>the hot springs episode where the train blows up the aliens skirt
I recorded that and jerked, It was downward spiral since
Yas Forums's tastes are worse than Yas Forums or Yas Forums by far.
That board is a wasteland of autism.
I'm not sure if it got a good domestic BD release, it came out before those were much more common and has been regulated largely to streaming rights stateside I believe. Happens to a lot of great shows, companies who hold the rights go out of business and they lapse, only to either vanish forever or maybe get picked up by the last few domestic studios out there. I'm still a bit surprised funimation did a Record of Lodoss War BD release. Even more surprised Legend of the Galactic Heroes got a release (however it was a very limited print of only about 700 copies iirc).
The anime jew in the west wants streaming to take over and remove physical release eventually, damn shame. Netflix is making abominations in 3DCG. Normies should have never got into anime, I was happy to get ostracized for having a weird hobby.
I think the last piece of Anime that impressed me was Redline.
