I've been wanting to make my own slasher film for a few years now, something about them attracts me more than other horror subgenres but they're difficult to pull off in modern day.
Stage Fright
Jeepers Creepers
The Burning
Got my vote!
My Bloody Valentine. The original, of course.
>Child's Play (2019)
>not the original
Shit taste.
My Bloody Valentine is my favorite, but I also enjoyed Scream
Haven't seen the original and I probably never will
I really dont see what the big deal about Texas Chainsaw massacre is. I liked The Town That Dreaded Sundown better
I'll check that out but for me the original Texas Chainsaw is one of the few actually frightening horror movies. It holds up really well and has great atmosphere. I never finished the 2003 remake but it actually seemed pretty good too.
wut
im confused
The Town That Dreaded Sundown is really antiquated. It's like someone made a western/detective crossover with some horror elements. Good quality film, but expect it to be different. The remake was pretty good for a generic 2000s slasher, but the ending was retarded.
As for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I liked the first half a lot but the second half just seemed to be the one woman running around screaming the whole time.
Watch it. It's leagues better than that shitty 2019 film.
The mutilator and Bloodrage make a good double feature
I have a thing about dolls. The only reason I was able to watch the one is because he was a robot toy instead of doll.
>but the second half just seemed to be the one woman running around screaming the whole time.
I mean, that's one way to put it. To me Sally is one of the few final girls who's fear and desperation you can actually feel. There's still a lot of slashers I haven't seen though.
The remake made me curious but I don't think I'd be able to sit through it. I wish people weren't so against the remake. I understand that it changes a lot but from what I've picked up from discussions about the original, it reaches a lot of the same conclusions, just in a really different way.
Happy Birthday To Me and Slaughterhouse
Saw it in theaters when I was a wee lad so it will always be comfy.
imagine being this old lol
i saw friday the 13th 4 at a drive in come at me faggot
the maniac cop trilogy
First Scream is a legitimate good movie
at a drive in when it came out? i hope your grandkids are making you stay inside
Also Madman, and New York Ripper for maximum sleaze kino
Theater of Blood
I loved The House on Sorority Row but it ended so odd and abruptly
I actually dug that. After the doctor showed up it all could’ve essentially been a drug fever dream at that point
Idk it was really jarring to me but maybe I should rewatch it
