Not bad. A lot of Asian guys can pull off the suave shit, and clean up well and look good in suits. There’d be constant “Secret Asian Man” jokes but it could work. I’d rather see them make their own thing than do literally James Bond, like some secret agent in the who was put in a Japanese internment camp (but he’s Korean) and to prove his loyalty became a spy. You could set it in the 40s or 50s and it’d be neat. Get a nobody or someone famous in Korea with good enough English, the small pool of know Asian American actors kind of sucks.
But it’s a moot point because Hollywood never gives us anything good.

James Bond requires too much masculinity for an Asian man to pull it off. Asian men can be masculine through the lens of Asian culture, sure, but there's not a single Asian man in existence that's considered masculine in Western culture.
