>I can tell watching paint dry would be more fun than watching some these films.
Boy, you're in luck today
holy shit dude, thanks!
seen it, but thank you
both look nice
i've seen some giallo so i'll definitely check it out
Not exactly sure what "visual resources" tv has that film lacks? Really I just think tv sucks.
So lads, what's your favourite Ozu film?
The one with the japanese people.
>So how many of these movies are pretentious experimental flicks?
Almost none of them
Yorgos Lanthimos is a terrible filmmaker
Also, I didn't include Amer because it was released in '09, but it is just as good. In fact, there's one sequence in particular in that one that is maybe my favorite of all time. Also, their most recent, Let The Corpses Tan, is excellent.
Sure, what pornos have you starred in darling? You got any with black guys spit roasting you?
Fag you say?
I was expecting to see Joe Keaton near the bottom.
Not even heart of a dog?
The only Tabu worth watching came out in 1931.
Opinions on him and his films?
I was expecting a "Murder & Rape ............. FATTY ARBUCKLE"
should i watch 'cabinet of dr caligari' or 'black girl' this very instant
I am willing to admit I was in the wrong for calling these films pretentious. I saw the trailer for heart of a dog and it pissed me off.
I lol'd but Buster not only got Fatty an acquittal but an apology from the jury.
explain pls
I did say almost none of them, not none of them
>Roscoe Conkling "Fatty" Arbuckle (/ˈɑːrbʌkəl/; March 24, 1887 – June 29, 1933) was an American silent film actor, comedian, director, and screenwriter. He started at the Selig Polyscope Company and eventually moved to Keystone Studios, where he worked with Mabel Normand and Harold Lloyd, as well as with his nephew Al St. John. He mentored Charlie Chaplin and discovered Buster Keaton and Bob Hope. He was one of the most popular silent stars of the 1910s and one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood, signing a contract in 1920 with Paramount Pictures for $14,000 (equivalent to approximately 175,000 in 2019 dollars[1]).
>Arbuckle was the defendant in three widely publicized trials between November 1921 and April 1922 for the alleged rape and manslaughter of actress Virginia Rappe. Rappe had fallen ill at a party hosted by Arbuckle at the St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco in September 1921, and she died four days later. A friend of Rappe accused Arbuckle of raping and accidentally killing her. The first two trials resulted in hung juries, but Buster Keaton defended him in the third trial, which acquitted him, and the jury gave him a formal written statement of apology.
And for dessert:
>Roscoe Arbuckle was born on March 24, 1887, in Smith Center, Kansas, one of nine children of Mary E. "Mollie" Gordon (d. February 19, 1898) and William Goodrich Arbuckle.[4] He weighed in excess of 13 pounds (5.9 kg) at birth and his father believed that he was illegitimate, as both parents had slim builds. Consequently, he named him after Senator Roscoe Conkling of New York, a notorious philanderer whom he despised. The birth was traumatic for Mollie and resulted in chronic health problems that contributed to her death 12 years later.[5]
