Has anyone ever pointed out to people like this that literally every culture adapts foreign culture ideas into their own? If anything, Western media is the most inclusive of any in the world, yet it's probably the one most targeted for not being inclusive enough.

The strangest thing is that the artist/author of these comics is a Filipino man who *hates* Japanese/Chinese/Korean people. So for him to suddenly be pretending to sympathize with cultural issues about their countries is fucking hilarious.

Different situation. Luna is a half-Flip getting offended on behalf of Japs/Chinese that he never liked to begin with and has explicitly railed against in the past. When whitecels panic about non-white casting, they tend to be much more consistent (even vaguely white like Ana de Armas is acceptable in their eyes). It's sad either way, but there are fewer mental gymnastics involved with the latter.
