Other than seeing some people here mention it (I don't read threads about dramas I haven't seen and don't like drama shows in general) the only time I had heard of the wire irl was a couple of actual redditors I know talking about how epic it was and telling me I should watch it and it would "make me hate white people" at which point I of course shit my pants and naruto ran out of the room while screaming hitler did nothing wrong
Why are you so bad at bait?
Hijacking this thread to ask if the wire is worth watching for someone who loves sopranos
Yes.
>muh mob soap opera
>muh crime and niggers
It was hard to watch The Wire because it could get so boring. The first season was decent and then I had to watch the abysmal season 2. The Sopranos was good until it kept going and you became aware of how formulaic it was. I didn't care about how sad Tony was at the end. His character development stopped around season 5.
>show about niggers nigging
>will make you hate white people
I've never watched it because it almost sounds like a chore to watch the way some people talk about it.
Cause they were fantastic non pozzed adult dramas

Come in here and hang out we're watching pranos
Wire is objectively better than Sopranos
sopranos had less niggers therefore it was a bit more tolerable
this too
Sopranos >>>> The Wire
Sopranos
>I'M HAVIN NIGHTMARES OVER SMOKED MEATS
>MY DAUGHTER IS DATING A MOOLINYAN GAVOONNE VA FANCUUUUULO
The Wire
>OOGA BOOGA *indescernable noises* YO YO YO YO YO B-BALL NIGGA
>SHEEEEEEIIIIIIIITTTT
>I'm a big stupid mick cop. I can't stop drinking because I hate myself
series 2 was really good from what I remember
The highways were jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive.
I'm assuming there must be some element of the man be keeping them down and we dindu nuffinz and we wuz kangz and sheeeeiiit for them to get that interpretation but I don't want to see it. I'm glad I don't talk to those fags anymore. I went to pick one of them up at his house at 1AM two and a half hours away in a different state and he was passed out drunk, so I had to home invade what I was pretty sure was the house I had been to before and fireman's carry him out and blast the band we were going to see on the way back to my house. And while we're drinking more tequila and watching sunny in philadelphia he wants to have a drunk conversation with me about how white people caused all of black people's problems. I also hit a skunk with my car that night because the fog was a complete white out and I had to play the retarded window/heater game to stop my windshield from fogging up too, which is still the only animal I have hit. Fuck that guy.
Yes and vice versa
I have loved the wire for years and recently got around to watch sopranos. They have a similar feel when watching, getting involved in a lot of well written characters, even though they are clearly two distinct series with a different flavour.
>this finook saying gababgool is a smoked meat
>I'm assuming there must be some element of the man be keeping them down and we dindu nuffinz and we wuz kangz and sheeeeiiit for them to get that interpretation but I don't want to see it.
There really isn't. The institutional problems in the different institutions of the show are also shown to work exactly the same in the drug and crime institutes because they are human issues. They are still institutional, but unavoidable given the circumstances. The only change that happens on the show ever does so starting at a personal level, 1:1, man to man, and it hardly makes a dent.
checked and I guess I'm not shocked they were total 'inventing shit to cuck about'-tier cucks, they were after all literal redditors and we were friends from doing psychedelics at am band shows together but still the levels of liberalism I've seen man. I just wanted to hear screaming guitar and see moving colors
The Wire is pretty good, you don't see much TV tackling the decline of US cities and drug abuse.
The Sopranos is better because it wasn't created by a Jew. Simple as.
daddy would you like some gabagool
I guess you need a steady diet of trash tv or be a le epik zoomer contrarian to have opinions this utterly worthless
No actual response?
Yeah, it’s the most compelling drama ever made. Real chore
"dramas" are horseshit. Tragedy, Comedy and Epics are the only stories worth telling and if you want to go beyond the scope of that then meta and examination of art itself is next. "dramas" are literal pleb fodder.
i loved Sopranos but hated the Wire despite an honest attempt to get into it
