Targaryens are fucking boring. Everyone knows the actually entertaining houses from a lore perspective were the Lannisters, Tyrells and Baratheons.
Jaehaerys was based as fuck though
Targaryens are based, seethe more
The Others are looking for a young Stark with a Valyrian steel sword, and I will prove it.
>Waymar Royce, described by Sansa in book 5 as having grey eyes and dark hair, is lured into a trap by the Others
>one of them comes out to duel him, says something in a "mocking" tone
>shatters his sword
>the rest come in and quickly finish him off
>Gared escapes
>during the Great Ranging, Crastor instantly recognizes Jon as having "the Stark look", ie grey eyes and dark hair
>says Waymar and co stopped in on their way north
>is confirmed to be in contact with the Others
As I said above, the theory goes that Others are looking for a young Stark with a Valyrian sword. Crastor knows this. He thinks Waymar is a Stark, based on him having the Stark look. Crastor informs the Others, who lure him into the trap. One of them comes out to duel Waymar, but when his sword shatters, he sees it's not Valyrian, so they quickly dispatch him - he's not the one they're looking for. The Watch stops in at Crastor's during the ranging, and he tells the Others that they're heading for the Fist of the First Men, a young man with the "Stark look" among them. The Others attack the Fist to kill Jon, but he's away with the Halfhand.
they were all powerhungry incestuous autists who couldn't keep their throne despite having dragonfire on their side. they are good at conquering, but dogshit at everything else, and most of their family drama is uninteresting shlock. the sacking of the reyne family mogs all of your petty squabbles. stay mad.
What did Gurm mean by this
>they were all powerhungry incestuous autists who couldn't keep their throne despite having dragonfire on their side. they are good at conquering, but dogshit at everything else, and most of their family drama is uninteresting shlock. the sacking of the reyne family mogs all of your petty squabbles. stay mad
i don't know, will it continue to spread the teachings of the one true god?
Is the House of the Mouse on Disney++?
>Will you watch House of the Dragon

Mance Rayder paid the catspaw to kill Bran and sow discord, chaos and war among the North before his attack on the wall.
>catspaw was paid in silver
>in book 3, Mance tells Jon he joined Robert's procession and snuck into Winterfell with his lute and a bag of silver
>never mentions the silver again
>I'm book 3, Tyrion, Cersei and Jaime all independently speculate that it was Joffrey trying to impress Robert
>Joffrey is virtually never mentioned as having any interest in his relationship with Robert
>Mance didn't care who the Starks blamed - if Bran was killed, they would be going to war with someone, anyone, in relatiation
>he took the knife from Robert's weapon cart because he knew Ned and Robert were like brothers, and it would hurt the most
>the Starks being distracted by war is crucial to the success of his assault on the Wall
The fat man said book 3 would reveal who paid the catspaw. Everyone thinks it's Joffrey because the Lannisters come to that conclusion, but book 3 is also where Mance reveals to Jon that he was at Winterfell for the feast, with a bag of silver that he never explains.
I haven't followed the show since the end of the finale. What happened to the 3-4 prequels?
The last I've read was that they wrote and shot one of the prequels. It cost $50M or something to shoot the pilot, because they had to build the sets and costumes for everything. So it couldn't be the $10M per episode budget like for GoT since they're just re-using sets and costumes. Then it got cancelled. Is there any truth to this? Anything else to it?
What about the other 2-3 prequels? Where are they in terms of development? Did any of them get dropped? How close are we to seeing them? Name of the prequel? Leaks?
Literally the Targaryen that ruined everything was Viserys I by refusing to believe his daughter was a whore who slept around, leading to a ton of people not supporting her claim, leading to the Dance of Dragons, which cost the Targs their dragons
Okay this is cool. But why would the Others be looking for a Stark in particular?
Brienne chapters are the biggest pleb filters in the books, and you're wrong if you think otherwise.
are the double jews producing it? if yes then no.
Enslaving their dragons is what costed them their dragons.
Problem with that theory is that Joffrey seems to know he's been found out when Tyrion pointedly mentions the dagger, though - he fucking drops his spaghetti everywere and tries to deflect the question.
That's the million-dollar question, lad. Only the fat man knows right now. In the books, the Night's King is an old Lord Commander of the Night's Watch who took a white walker bride and claimed the Nightfort (largest castle on the Wall) as his seat. Legend has it he was a Stark. Could be something to do with that, but I'm of the belief that Coldhands is the Night's King.
the woke one got cancelled
the house of the dragon is proceeding
not sure about the 3rd one
they're are not
Maybe they're aware of the Azor Ahai prophecy and have decided that he has Stark blood, or it's something to do with the original Night King who may have been a Stark?
That's the only part that stops me from declaring it a confirmed fact and anyone thinking otherwise is a faggot. He says some shit like "I know more about Valyrian steel than you might think", which definitely implies he sent the catspaw. If this was GRRM's intent, I really hope he doubles back on it, goes the Mance route, and says Joffrey was just being a little cunt.
Don't forget "There must always be a Stark in Winterfell" maybe this also plays into it somehow and now with Jon possibly dead and becoming an Other in Winds
No, it's Miguel somethingspic
That's just a generic saying. Winterfell has been Stark-free for a long time.
What did master Aegon imply when he asked Sam if Stannis's sword was burning its sheath? Or that he didn't feel any heat from it? I'm currently at the beginning of 4th book, if that helps staying spoiler-free.
Also Mance is currently at Winterfell in Dance. He's definitely got his eye on something there. The question now is what exactly?
You mean the dragonpit stunting their growth? Seems more likely to me that maesters poisoning the last few dragons/eggs (possibly iwth Faceless Man help) is how they ended up stunted and stillborn after the Dance, before eventually dying out. Maesters wanted to prevent anything like the DoD ever happening again and create a world without magic, and it's worth noting that IIRC, the theory that the Dragonpit is what stunted the dragons' growth came from the maesters themselves. It's definitely misdirection.
"The Stark in Winterfell" is basically like saying "The King of England." But I do agree that it may have something to do with it.
Is there a bigger cuck than Quentyn?
I guess the other prequels were canned after House of Dragon was greenlit.
Sounds extremely shit.
Lightbringer didn't give off any heat, so Aegon thinks it's a fake made by red lady. It probably is. Weirdly never gets mentioned in her chapter iirc, just that she fakes 90% of what she does but has legit magic too
Lightbringer is supposed to be a sword made of fire. Aemon caught on that Melisandre is casting an illusion on the blade to make it look like its on fire. If it were real fire, there would be heat.
>Targs
Possible, but it happens to most animals to suffer from captivity. Also, having your dragons fly around in your kingdom and from time to time doing some "unpredictable" mess by burning and eating a few peasants or lords would be quite helpful in reminding said people who is the top dog.
