Literally the perfect aspect ratio. The entire frame is in your vision and focus. No stuff off to the sides of your peripheral to distract you

X-Files looks so good in high definition. 4:3 is only good for animation.
>No stuff off to the sides of your peripheral to distract you
What if the narrative of the film literally calls for distraction of the viewer in his peripheral?
Based, Lang was right when he said widescreen was for snakes and funerals
It's ratio not resolution
Then it's bad film making to have important things happen on the sides of the screen
3:2 is better
>The entire frame is in your vision and focus.
t. poorfaggot 13 inch laptop viewer
When you watch it on an actual screen or in theater only the thing you're watching, or which the filmmaker is making sure you watch through focus, lighting and composition is what you have directly in focus in your vision, not every single pixel of the entire screen.
>yeah bro you just gotta sit REALLY FAR AWAY to get the whole picture!
You really don't get it do you.
I'm talking deliberate peripheral things that come in play to distract and make the viewer uncomfortable, which is often use as a device in horror films where the viewer is surprised where the monster/killer pops out in the screen in the place he didn't expect.
I get it, you just are a huge wrong faggot nigger
I just pinch to zoom to fill the screen instead of wasting it on black bars
I accept your defeat
Yeah I bet you pinch your nipples too widescreen cuck
High definition is wide-screen idiot.
based. Only aspect ratio to play Counter-Strike with.
While there are exceptions, most anamorphic films are framed pretty badly. 1.37 is the best ratio for most films
t. have myopia
just sit further, brainlet
nice b8
I have Kerataconus not myopia
1:1 master race
21:9 is the only good aspect ratio. Fight me.
I agree, although I think you meant to say 1.66, as 1.66 is the only good aspect ratio
sure, if you like talking heads and no cinematography
This. Griffith and Eisenstein had no cinematography
based
You mean 16:10?
Interesting curio. 21:9 was shot in 4:3 using anamorphic lenses. It was then transcoded back into wider format on screening, but filmstock stayed 4:3.
rewatching old south park and i can confirm that 4:3 is the kino resolution
i also like old games and they have this kino ratio as well
i have big 4k monitor btw to the nigger who said something about laptops
