Only plebs like this show.

i mean its ok, i watched it cause i see it mentioned a lot but i just thought it was average, which is why im considering not even finishing it

I watched a few episodes and it's a 'pants' type of show. This is occult pants, Twilight is boyfriend pants, and so on... it's something which acts as a vague framework for you to project your autism into and discuss what YOU see within the work, until the work has enough agreed-upon conventions that the "author" selects which are dogma. It's literally pseudo-intellectual nonsense that never says anything. Using high concepts to achieve nothing is no achievement.

the first 2 seasons are average.season 3 is a masterpiece.

Twin peaks S3 is the greatest season of any show in history

No one likes twin peaks because of its deep plot and message.its because its offers an experience like no other tv show does and is quite emotional at times.

That's called pants. You know what else offers an amusing and unforgettable experience? Disney World.

It goes to shit and doesn’t recover until the season finale, which is great. S3 is okay, interesting in its own way but not as good imo. The more I analyze it the more I dislike it.

Plot is not all there is to film/tv show.there are others things that make it up which are equally as important.if you care this much about plot just read books because film don't really offer much when it comes to depth anyway.

Season 2 is worth finishing. If you don’t watch the Season 2 finale you might as well have not even bothered at all.
Forget Season 3 though, it’s a waste of time

i will probs just skim through eps til last few

the second half is kino but if you have to ask you’ve probably been LYNCHED already and you’ll hate it

>noooo the author has to spell everything out for me!
You’re the pseudo-intellectual if you have to project meaning and there has to be a singular truth to everything. It’s not really the destination but the ride, I just want to watch comfy dougie

> You know what else offers an amusing and unforgettable experience? Disney World.
Maybe if you’re retarded, which you must be if you’re comparing Disney World to Twin Peaks

Why “pants”?
Also, Twilight wasn’t some deep fan-fiction meaning the author retroactively made canon because she thought it elevated her work. It was just about a hot guy.
Twin Peaks is only an average show and I do often see people claim that most of it never had a point thought.

In what sense is twin peaks the return average?what other shows are like it again?

Yeah man I know y'all like star wars.

>y'all
Go back

>ive heard it goes to shit
You've heard wrong

op here, you sound so smug like you think youre better than someone for their taste, let people enjoy shit who gives a fuck, go live your life

The Sopranos Funhouse and Test Dream episodes did David Lynch significantly better than David Lynch lol

>Forget Season 3 though, it’s a waste of time
>skip the best season
smooth brain opinion

funny thing is people like these think they are smart for not liking something because it doesn't have a deep plot but have never read a book in there life.

I have watched sopranos and its great show but how are those episodes even remotely similar to what david lynch makes?

He finishes reading the book to the kids, despite just being told that a plane has crashed into the World Trade Center. A very brave man.

all of season 2 is good, YES even the James subplot

>It's literally pseudo-intellectual nonsense that never says anything.
The show isn't that complicated neither it pretends to be.
>Using high concepts to achieve nothing is no achievement.
What should it be supposed to achieve to excuse using "high concepts"? The show is mostly centered around drama and aesthetics so I don't get why do you try to dismiss it by using pragmatic arguments

I'm halfway through season 3 and it's been incredibly boring for the most part. Weird for the sake of weird, most scenes and characters are outright fucking pointless, and it has no direction, there's no core to it.

Season 2 was better, and season two ends up being a meandering waste of time for half the episode. There were still stories in the town about people I gave a shit about. Season 3 spends almost no time with people I like, and the ones I do like aren't even in Twin Peaks.

I'm fast coming to the opinion that people who unironically say season 3 is great are all faggots who suck cock while wearing women's underwear

Vague shit requiring viewer interpretation, which is basically what Twin Peaks is. Except Lynch never seems to have had an actual answer in mind, for Twin Peaks it’s just weird for the sake of weird.
The murder mystery was the best part of Twin Peaks and that wrapped up pretty quick. The soap opera type storylines were never really that well done IMO, I never really understood all the mechanics of the three different plots to take over the mill.
It was an okay show, the standout scenes are the Pilot where they find out about Laura’s death, the other big murder and the Season 2 finale.
Maybe the first lodge scene deserves to be in there but I saw it so long after it’s initial airing I think it kind of deadened the effect.

I went through both seasons recently, loved it mostly.
Should I watch the FWWM movie?

Even the Nadine story?

S3 is incredibly overrated by people on this board for some reason. It’s fine, got some interesting aspects to it, but it’s incredibly bloated and self-indulgent. Should have been edited down to like 8 episodes.

>Vague shit requiring viewer interpretation
Good lord that doesn't mean its similar in anyway. season 3 is the best season by far and what can be considered truly great. All of your criticism seems to based around plot seems to you don't care much about other things.I don't think you understand what surrealist cinema is.

>plotfags being LYNCHED

Most people disagree with you and consider Season 3 to be the best far.I don't think you are familiar with lynch's other films like Mulholland drive and eraserhead.

>all of season 2 is good,
correct
>YES even the James subplot
lol, no. I'm not getting LYNCHED this time

its the same old story people that only care about plot and want everything straightforward will never appreciate lynch.
