I'm glad this was my Star Wars
I'm glad this was my Star Wars
Just watched finishing the PT just tonight. Was fucking even more awesome than the last time. Now it’s on to the next and final three films in the saga.
Incredible movies
Prefer these over the OT ( and definitely over the dog shit that is the ST)
unironically more soul than any corporate focus group schlock disney shits out.
pure soul
well no shit. one's a passion project made by a man committed to telling his story in the best way possible, and the other's a corporate product made to sell toys to children and manchildren
Back when movies weren’t forced propaganda, good times.
Don't you think it's interesting that the PT is perceived the exact same way compared to the OT?
Phantom and Sith are legit kino.
Clones is a slog but it has a couple okay moments.
>one, maybe two, good actors in the entire trilogy
yes, OP, this is truly your star wars
When i was a kid in the 90s we only had the star wars games like tie fighter and tie fighter vs x wing, fps games and then finally kotor.
Frankly that shit was awesome.
but the ot wasn't one man's vision. it was one man's vision deluded by the hollywood system at the time, which, because of the state of hollywood at the time, you could argue is better than just one man's vision
fuck, i'm retarded, i meant diluted, not deluded
Could you really though? I feel like there's pretty much no argument at this point for the OT being better than the PT, and unless the artist is a hack its best they have final say on the movie.
Crappy headcanon invented by boomers unable to articulate why they didn't like the prequels, shot down by the fact that Lucas warned merchandising licensees that the prequel trilogy wasn't marketable the way the OT was.
He had a story he wanted to tell and he told it without ever once selling out.
Probably because George had that passion spark while Disney is soulless wraiths
Everyone in this thread should watch George Lucas' greatest masterpiece, American Graffiti.
Same, user. So much soul, to this day I can't absorb it all.
Do you like sand?
Based
Unironically yes
Better toys, better games, better everything
OT had a certain WW2 in space feel to it mixed with mysticism. It's a winning combo for sure and people really got into the aesthetic of it.
PT had a different vibe to it. It resembles a fable of the fall of a high kingdom by sinister forces and it looks more colorful and vibrant, but it still has soul.
user, no!
Phantom was gary stu bullshit. Clones was kino.
I came in here intent to argue but actually, youre all right.
>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU CAN'T JUST ENJOY THE PREQUELS
>EVERYONE ON TEEVEE AND MY FAVORITE ECELEB REDDITLETTER MEDIA TOLD ME THAT THE PREQUELS ARE IRREDEEMABLE HORSESHIT
Resentment is like sand in brakes. Fitting for a pilot from Tatooine.
Why do so many people hate AOTC? Most of them seem to not understand the story or just irrationally hate it because other people told them to hate it
>the special effects are unrealistic, that means the movie is bad
is the typical argument I hear
Why did you ask a question only to answer it in the next sentence? It seems you have the same autism that they do.
Beautifully said.
When is it likely RLM will do the Plinkett Rise of Skywalker review?
The Chaddest of SW trilogies.
OT = normie bait
Prequels = Chad
Disney Trilogy = tranny faggot shlock
The story is easy to follow but:
>the acting is terrible, the weakest performances in the trilogy, Hayden is still a bit wooden it Sith but noticeably better
>worse special effects, Phantom looks really nice while more of Clone's settings and environments were completely CG and some of it looks terrible
>the opening city action scene is just stupid and looks bad
>the C3PO comic relief stuff is cringe
>Obi Wan being ignored and ridiculed by Yoda and the council is purely a plot device and makes no sense to their characters
>the romance stuff is so wooden, both acting and writing do not sell it at all and it takes up too much of the runtime
I like the stuff with Jango Fett though and the last half-hour are decent. It's just got so much wrong with it, really the weakest of the trilogy.
Never. Those dogs deserve death.
There's also some weird hatred for Dexter Jettster that I don't really understand.
Add in the >LOL HIS NAME IS SLEAZEBAGGANO
as if they don't know it's a fucking nickname and you get the same repetition of "it's cringe" that makes no sense.
Um hello based department?
Extremely based patrician
