- All of it happening based on his correct instinct and strategizing as a military veteran who is obviously overqualified for the shit he is put through.

I didn't like Legends, I liked the new expanded canon stories, I reserved my judgement about the sequel trilogy until the story was complete, I didn't get up in my feelings about meaningless nonsense like cartoons for young girls or some T-shirts, and I actually liked some stuff from the sequels, such as the Imperial remnant that became something new while quietly growing and preparing to strike, or Leia setting up a resistance cell to confront that threat when a complacent New Republic won't, or Luke ending up as a snarky disillusioned hermit after failing to live up to his reputation as an infallible legend.
So yeah, there wasn't anything that stood out to me. I was a little queasy about the sequel trilogy, but I was hoping it would grow on me. But now I'm worried that as it is, it will always feel alien to me.
