He was also so over the top with his dickishness, while she was over the top with her innocence and patience. It was actually what broke my suspension of disbelief; in a movie about a swedish murder cult.
This movie was fucking terrible and everyone in it was an unlikable cunt, particular mention goes out to the out of place weedhead. The boyfriend was a dick in many ways but not in his dealings with her. He basically carried her through her tragedy breakdown only for this dumb bitch to roast him because he did some shit while drugged against his will. This movie somehow manages to have people dumber than in a straight up slasher movie.
the part where the swedish cucks dare to kill a negro was the most unrealistic one in the whole movie to be honest

This movie is Joker (2019) but for women. They're both technically mediocre but fascinating because they basically portray the boiling anger and resentment of both genders against the modern world.
Aster is Aronofsky's Brooklyn cabbie hipster, with the sense to stick to dedicated schlock genres like Horror where the aesthetic cachet would 'elevate' it by comparison.
