I watched a dating program last night. I've got zero chance. This guy was a fat, balding manlet who ran an icecream business. He said he'd gotten so many 'no's he was about to throw in the towel.

Well in a way, sure they do. There are movies where pretty much everyone has defined abs, crazy muscles, 10/10 bodies, etc, which is very much not representative of how people look. But then again, movies usually aren't that realistic in the first place.

I wouldn't say that brad pitt having abs in a movie where most people look pretty normal is perpetuating unrealistic standards though.

This is literally just moderate cardio and light weight lifting; and you could probably just use machines. Hollywood is bad about pushing unrealistic standards, but this is actually how you should look. The fact that people complain about it shows how fucked we are as a species.
