Was Joker good?
Now that the dust settled
it's okay
What do you call that phenotype?
it was alright
Yeah. Sure it has some problems but that doesn't mean it did a lot of things very well. It's a very interesting take on the character that is well acted and well executed. It's just cool to hate it but it's a good movie that made an impression on people. The talkshow scene is already iconic.
Is it a must watch?
Terrone
Yeah
6/10
I liked it
I'd like to see a whole film with this character
I'm sure it would be pretty cool
Semitic
No, they have managed to ruin the character of Joker with ease. Don't get me wrong, dude, the film was good, (little bit overrated, if you ask me), but it is not a Joker who is 5 or 6 steps way ahead in front of batman.
It was the only movie I saw last year that actually moved me.
Why was his oscar speech so odd? I was zoning out but it felt like he was rambling about crazy shit for a while.
>"I've been thinking a lot about some of the distressing issues that we are facing collectively. I think at times we feel, or we're made to feel, that we champion different causes. But for me, I see commonality. I think, whether we're talking about gender inequality or racism or queer rights or indigenous rights or animal rights, we're talking about the fight against injustice. We're talking about the fight against the belief that one nation, one people, one race, one gender or one species has the right to dominate, control and use and exploit another with impunity."
>On his religious background, he has said, "My parents believed in God. I'm Jewish, my mom's Jewish, but she believes in Jesus, she felt a connection to that."
I am curious that why producers can not make any good movies like The Godfather? All movies are similar. The Joker has got a message but it is not that original. Final scene of The Joker is an allusion of baby birth. They took Joker inside the cop car. It is a born of new anti-hero. Yet I don't say it is the thing that I look in a good movie.
It's not just his oscar speech. Every time he appears in front of an audience he is just pure cringe.
too long.
nothing is
Hollystick has lost it's original idea and every new movie is plagiarized under the new name, therefore they are in some kind of boring cycle. For example... Interstellar was an obvious rip off from the Kubrick masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey.
No. Just pure cringe.
The last 30 mins were good. Then I walked out.
>comparing Interstellar Kino from 2001 and calling 2001 a masterpiece
yup, pleb filtered
yes
It was an masterpiece, literally.
>2001: A Space Odyssey is a 1968 epic science fiction film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick.
its the only film partly society, slowsteps
What did he mean by this?
THE ICE AGE
i watched it in the cinema with my girlfriend and it had a few scenes i enjoyed but mostly it was reddit the cliche the movie and painted the joker as being raped as a child that´s why he is how he is , i also told my girlfriend that this joker has nothing to do with the real joker but she didn´t understand why not.
jewish neurosis
I found it a bit boring. I wasn't expecting explosions or anything, but there were better character study movies, like Lars and the real girl and Her.
it was different and more interesting than the usual capeshit blockbuster, but I don't know if it was actually "good"
It was 6/10
The marketing for it was interesting, particularly online and particularly on this board. They absolutely raped this place with corporate memes and shilling for a good 6 months at least, just fucking it and fucking it day after day, spraying thick, fresh corporate memery all over the face of the board 24/7.
Then, the film comes out, and it stops.
Dead. Just like that. No more memes. This is how you know it wasn't organic. Organic hype fades out slowly, it doesn't just switch off overnight. It was clearly forced, and there was money behind it.
It was the first time I'd seen such a case of such intense, prolonged, and blatant corporate shilling on this website before. Very interesting.
