I liked it after a few episodes, ending was good. Mr Mercedes is a looot better though, Brendan Gleeson is great.

I hate people like you, but you're right in this case. The actress ruined a great character. Holly Gibson is a character in Mr Mercedes, too, the woman who played her there does a much better job.

The first few episodes were great and then it just got dragged out more and more. And the ending was a wet fart

Cause Jason batmen perfectly cast as a well meaning suspect of a murder investigation who could be innocent piqued your interest opposite Ben Mendelssohn as the detective who has to question everything he knows to figure out the bizzare circumstances surrounding the case.

Then they kill off the only suspense and character of value
Then the storylines go into the toilet
Then the characters have no motivation or anything to talk about besides supernatural
Then storylines become a tedious slog where supernatural elements are pointless
Then you realize if you turn the tv off you have to sift through an empty library of content because nothing is good tv is just nonsense
Then you had existential dread and decided just to keep the tv on and let it happen to you like a rape
Then you got done with the series and were so pissed they took your time you tried looking up Ben Mendelssohns facebook account to post negative feedback for him tricking you
Then you saw he hasnt posted to facebook in years and it seems to be a private account for his close friends and it would look really strange to harass this guy for collecting a paycheck
Then you started looking for someone from HBO to complain to but there was no complaint department phone number
Then you decided to quietly eat your frustration and make a post on Yas Forums hoping someone else shared this frustration
Then you get recommendations from this person because he knows exactly what you experienced and hopes there is some justice in this world.

Oh, I didn't watch that far. But she did have that dream sequence before, I think at the end of episode 8 or 9, where she dreamed that the helper guy actually did shoot her when she tried to escape. Same shit.

Yes, absolutely. It's not that the black woman in Outsider did a bad job, she just wasn't nearly as good. Constantly got me thinking how much worse Holly was as a character in that show.

her character was also just poorly written. they make a big deal out of her autism and then she immediately falls for the most outlandish explanation AND just casually falls in love with someone.

I'm gonna get the book out of the library as soon as this apocalypse shit is done with, I really want to know if King butchered the character himself.

be honest guys, is mr mercedes any good? i watches 2 or 3 episodes but dropped it because it didnt really catch on. when i learned that it got more seasons i was actually surprised. should I give it another try? does it get better?

Idk, I think it's a great show, but I was hooked on episode one. If you didn't like the first few, you probably won't like the rest, either.

I haven't watched season 2 and 3 yet, I've only read the books, which were pretty good imo. Not great, but good. Shit's starting to get a bit supernatural in season/book 2
