Does there exist a SINGLE LEGITIMATELY GOOD MOVIE where the main character is a ninja? Or are ninja movies actually just 100% shit?

Daily reminder that the director of pic related was abducted by Kim Yong Il to shoot North Korean propaganda Kino and when he finally escaped, he had to make a fucking 3 Ninjas movie

martial arts movies in general are a thing of the passed, even though MMA is hugely popular.
Movie Jews are forbidden to make any movies depicting male strength

MMA is one of the reasons why no one takes the mystical eastern martial arts seriously anymore.

oh shit i forgot this one. loved it as a kid

If "The Wizard" was just a movie made to be a commercial for Nintendo then "Surf Ninjas" is the SEGA equivalent.

When I was a kid, McDojos were popping up everywhere (probably due to all those action flicks of the time) and a few of them got to be really really big business and merged into the MMA thing you see today. The business practices developed back in the late 80s and 90s helped them flourish like nobody's business and that's why you see this "universal" MMA bullshit you see today. UFC switching gears and moving away from a niche product like "muay thai kickboxer versus kung fu master" to just rolling around on the ground like a couple of junior high kids ensured that there is gonna be a big market for that sort of bullcrap.

MMA started with Bruce Lee's mash up of martial arts

Any one remember when pirates vs ninjas were a thing?

Attached: pirates-vs-ninjas.jpg (600x941, 128.56K)

13 Assassins is ok although its more like a kill team rather than ninjas.
Directors tend to favor Samurai cause their faces dont need to be covered i guess.

Pirates won.

>Why aren't ninjas popular anymore?

Because we got mixed martial arts which taught us that mystical eastern martial arts don't hold up to large men punching and kicking.

Lots of kids started taking karate lessons due to the popularity of things like Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers as well.

Truly the pirates won.

Once MMA got competitive it quickly devolved into whatever won fights, which is jujitsu combined with thai boxing combined street fighting.
I think it really showed how full of shit a lot of these fighting styles were in actual practice

UFC and MMA today is pussy shit compared to what it was when they were still making VHS tapes.
