I actually liked this show alot as a kid, the writing was way snappier than she described it. The main kid Tino Tonitini is the same voice as Max Goof and he has a genuinely funny delivery on a lot of his lines, very good at the sarcasm.

It's definitely a bit by the numbers in the way it does episode plots but it's meant to be a slice of life kind of thing.
