now that the dust has settled, was it any good?

as a non comic book reader who don't know the DC universe's canon, it wasn't bad nor good, its just another CGI action movie to me. Now this is the true redpill
It was almost good, but nope. Man of Steel remains the crown of the jewel in the DCEU.
Genuinely one of the worst films I've seen in theaters. I remember people looking around just incredulous at the shit happening.
I liked most everything about it except for the angle they went with on Luthor. Lame.
yes very its a shame everything that was setup went to nowhere though in JL
if by "good" you mean utter trash then yes
lol ok marvelkike
ultimate edition is one of the best comic book movies ever made
It's the closest the genre ever came to real introspection and social awareness.
I could only watch it up until the last fight scene. Turned it off and deleted it from my computer. I couldn't sit through it anymore. This was the last capeshit I saw, I didn't watch any movie from marvel or dc after this.
you watched joker and I'm tired of pretending you didn't
I didn't and I refuse to watch it. It's capeshit like the others
It was perplexingly bad. I remember feeling like I had to be missing something, because surely they wouldn't have released something so ridiculous. But they did.
good in concept, sloppy in pacing and execution
really well cast though
It’s one of the best films this decade but everyone gets too hung up on the MARTHA part.
I agree, though I enjoyed BvS too the villains and character motivations were better in MoS
That’s because they were to dumb to understand the movie
It's really good for capeshit. It's a real shame we never got to see Snyder's entire story unfold. I would guess it was gonna head towards that Knightmare shit with evil Superma, which is probably more interesting than anything we'll get from Marvel or DC in in the future.
Capekino.
>too gritty to be a kid's movie
>too capeshit to be a grownup's movie
>confused story about, what exactly?
most capeshit is boring drivel, but this was plain half-cooked
release the snyder cut
No, Snyder pushed his edgy le hardcore frat bro style way over the top
It's a top 5 cape flick
cannot believe it has not been released yet
>>confused story about, what exactly?
It's actually very simple. I guess people are too stupid to understand. Nolan's Superman idea was like a movie about encountering life on other planets and how the world would react. You can see that idea in MoS and BvS. BvS asks questions any sane man would ask themselves with the arrival of Superman. Hell even the kids cartoons JLU eventually asked these questions. Are metas necessary? Is Superman our savior? Is he just a necessary evil?
I thought it was interesting how they implied Lex Jr. had been sexually abused by Lex Sr....wonder if it was a Spacey reference
Was alright.
This. Solid movie, but Lex was horrible. Eisenberg (I wonder how he got the role) is God awful
Zack Snyder is insane, that's all I got from this movie
SAVE MARFA
No, the movie was total shit. The worst big budget film in history other than Heaven's Gate.
DCs worst mov- oh no wait, Suicide Squad. The second worst DC movie.
>"I think batman should be raped!" - Zack "the hack" Snyder
No. It was wall-to-wall shit from conception to execution, beginning to end, start to finish. MoS was horrible, why people thought this would be any better is beyond sane and rational human understanding.
made me realize that DC makes masterpieces and Marvel crap for kids
It was, but only the ultimate edition or whatever the fuck the longer cut was called. Theatrical was poorly edited.
It was trash. From beginning to end. The casting.
The direction.
The visuals.
The writing.
It was a fucking slog.
its both a really fun movie and a great pleb filter. i mean just look at the fucking NPCs in this thread
Managed to ruin the ending of Dark Knight Returns and the Death of Superman in the space of 15 minutes. Also the plotting and pacing before then was just atrocious. Snyder's a goofy idiot.
