Im pretty far removed from both of them politically, but it makes me glad that the smug twat dave got put in his place.

Cameron really misjudged the general public with his approach, he went socially liberal (hug a hoodie, 'Great Society' and pretending to be a common pleb who supports Aston Villa) while being conservative economically (austerity).
Boris (or someone advising him) has realised the best way to hoover up the floating voter is to go the opposite way; more socially conservative policies (longer prison sentences, points-based immigration) but shut the fuck up about austerity and promise a shit ton of funding for 'arr ennay chess'.
In hindsight Cameron was incredibly lucky that he was up against charisma black holes like Brown and Miliband and even then he barely won.
