It was probably just a phase where they got pressure from studios to screen their videos with an algorithm more rigorously for copyright violation. Understandably, they're focusing on new material like new TV and movies for the most part because that's where the money is outside of certain iconic classics worth proactive efforts to scrub from the platform. Nobody really gives a shit about trying to find and remove some b-list movie from forty years ago if it's not making much money, unless it's just been reissued in expensive bluray restoration and you're trying to protect the investment.
