You told me this piece of shit was good, Yas Forums. Fuck you for wasting 2+ hours of my time.
You told me this piece of shit was good, Yas Forums. Fuck you for wasting 2+ hours of my time
Since when has Yas Forums recommended Soi Wars?
It's always been shit
It has one cool scene and is pure fanservice, the rest is completely forgettable.
You didn't come into it with the right mindset. It feels kind of like Star Wars and is miles ahead of the ST trilogy. People actually praising it as a good Star Wars movies are tards.
this is the only movie where Felicity Jones look hot
Every second of every day.
Thank you. Wait, did you say "thank you" or "fuck you"?
To add onto this, If you go into it expecting a star wars movie you'll be disappointed, it's just a decent action movie set in the star wars universe
She looked pretty hot on television.
Fuck you, OP.
>pure fanservice
I don't get why everyone keeps calling Vader showing up as fan service. It's the plans for the most powerful state asset in the galaxy, who the fuck else are they going to send?
Who the fuck wholeheartedly reccomends this thing? I enjoyed it for the most part and would watch it again but I definitely wouldn't call it good since it had so many problems
The problem is not Vader showing up. It's the fact that the scene is supposed to be the heroes' last stand and it's presented as this big badass moment for Vader, almost as if the creators didn't care about the emotional or narrative weight of the scene and all they wanted to do was show some cool Star Wars stuff, like the rest of the movie.
The beginning of Episode IV is almost the same and the difference between the way they chose to present both scenes is staggering.
Fuck you user, i could post any space battle clips from the new trilogy and you couldn't tell the difference. It's all the same shit.
We just said it's the high watermark of Disney Star Wars, not that it's any good
the pleb has been filtered
I told you it was absolute trash but you didn't listen.
>all they wanted to do was show some cool Star Wars stuff, like the rest of the movie.
It wasn't a great story the way it was written. So the fanservice is all that there is left to enjoy.
For years people have been saying Rogue One is on par with the OT and that it's this masterpiece. I don't agree but people have been saying that, look at all the shit on youtube and in garbage opinion article sites about Rogue One.
those aren't people, they're star wars fans
What? What the fuck? How do you miss the entire point of that ending? It's a bitter sweat ending to show you that tons of lives were lost to get the plans and that they just barely managed to even get them
This movie just kept going
You’ve been filtered, faget
i actually enjoyed it, it's comfy af, but it's pretty poor overall
its only "good" in comparison to the other nu-Wars shit movies
its like a 6/10 max, but when you put it next to the other recent SW movies it gets bumped up a bit
Most boring movie ever until the last 30 minutes.
>only star wars to take "wars" seriously
>Yas Forums user prefers pew pew bang bang
I like the ST (yeah call me a fag) but R1 is miles ahead. Just a bit too much pandering for my liking but it holds together much better than VII and IX and is a much stronger film than I-III, VI, VII, and IX.
>zero character development
>characters are not likeable
>characters have no good dynamics
worst star wars movie by far
>Supposed to be the heroes last stand
>Something something narrative weight
I though the scenes on the planet covered all that. You know, when all the named characters die. They had succeeded before Vader showed up.
It's not even the best Star Wars Story. TFA, TLJ and Solo are all better than Rogue One (and they're not very good either).
It's obvious what the scene is supposed to be, but it doesn't work when the visual language conveys another thing entirely. Do you actually watch movies or do you just read the wikipedia plot synopsis?
the only "good" parts are the video game shit
>only star wars to take "wars" seriously
ah yes, I could sense how seriously they took the story when they had the tiny simpering woman magically knock out full-grown men by giving them a little tap with a shovel.
>only star wars to take "wars" seriously
How? Just because the boring, bland characters die at the end (which you already know is going to happen) doesn't make the movie any more serious or dark. How does the movie take the war, the death of characters, or the stakes of their plan any more seriously than the other movies?
Heck Episode III is darker than Rogue One and that's the movie with the 20 minutes anime fight at the end.
Literally worse than the space battles in the OT.
Just goes to show that FX are not a replacement for good direction. Why is everything so SLOW in that shot? Slowly fly towards the ring, slowly fly along the side, slowly fly between the beams. No dialogue, nothing changing in the battle. Just flying from point A to point B. Yawn. That's a 22 second webm that should be cut down to less than 10.
