I mostly like Mann for his visuals, and Miami Vice is the most visually stimulating thing I've ever seen. It literally looks like dream.

What is your favorite scene from it? For me is the one with the racing boat going to Havana. It gives me a sense of freedom so cool. Like a mix of the freedom of being able to go with your fucking boat to another country just to take some drinks and dance salsa and that feeling of a platonic, short and dreamlike summer love.

But, I put Thief before it becuase I'm from Chicago and it has that late '70's early '80's Chicago vibe. My god, people talk about "kino," a predominantly white Chicago is about as Kino as it gets.
