Where's a good place to ilegally stream Torchwood?
>60th anniversary is the celebration of the Doctor's real past
>they bring back all the New Who Doctors
>sequel to The Timeless Children
>BUT
>Chibnall has finally understood the errors of his ways
>goes on to undo The Timeless Children and 13, now content from knowing she wasn't the Timeless Child, can regenerate without worry
Odds of this happening out of 10?
If anything, Chibnall is going to double-down on his lore shit, I guarantee it. Either Jo Martin will return some more, or else he'll get another diversity hire in to play another unseen Doctor.
Anyone else think this Lockdown Rewatch stuff almost feels like a final hurrah for modern Dr Who? It's like an endpoint, a wake
None.
Also i unironically don't think the show will go that far with Chib.
They might still do the anniverasry, but Doctor Who will be cancelled by then.
And honestly if they'll announce it tomorrow, i'd consider it mercy.
The best hope is Jo returns, Jo and Jodie do a special together where they both die at the end, Jodie regenerates into Jo while Jo regenerates into the next showrunner's choice of Doctor.
>RTD handled 4 series of Doctor Who, 3 series of Torchwood and 4 series of SJA AT THE SAME TIME with 13 EPISODES EACH EVERY YEAR
>Moffat handled both Doctor Who and Sherlock at the same time with full series and a reduced count of episodes for Capaldi's era (because of budget) EVERY YEAR
>Chibnall can't handle a single reduced series of 10 episodes in a single year, needs 1 year and a half to make it, will cut its third series down to only 5 episodes
I wonder if people at the BBC are seeing this lockdown stuff, all the goodwill for older Dr Who, and realising that the current era just doesn't have the same impact or love or interest... and if/what that might mean for the future.
I reckon they might drastically cut down the current era, say just 5 episodes a series, whilst also focusing more on "legacy / older" stuff in the gaps.
The best hope is Series 14 starting with a white haired scotsman in his TARDIS regenerating.
>literal soap-opera writer is "core writer" for season 13
otoh I didn't think The Haunting Of The Guy's Summer House was all that bad
It's symbolic in a way, the early lockdown bonus content was absolute kino like the Doctor Who and the Time War book end and Revenge of the Nestene. Now the latest content has the 13th Doctor ruining things again.
I just don't know how they do it.
What would a Torchwood-like adult oriented sister show of Jodie Who look like?
I didn't know how bad it would get, I took it all for granted. I shat on 10 being an egomaniac, I shat on 11 being lol so randumb too often, I shat on Amy for being a slut and Rory being a cuck, I shat on Clara being a blank slate in S7, then I shat on Moffat for making the show about the Doctor and Clara's relationship, then I shat on the show for becoming too SJW in S10.
But I was an idiot, I see that now. Now I miss 10's flaws, I miss 11 even when he acted like a clown, I miss Amy&Rory, I miss Clara and god knows I miss 12. Sure, there were missteps, but it was acceptable at worst and superb at best. It could have been so much worse: it could have been what it is now. Flat, boring, and a bastardization of what it once was.
All of the 13 stuff (Chibs' story, Cornell's story, the Joy Wilkinson story, etc) has been utter drivel
That episode was better than anything Chibnall has aver wrote.
It also has a decent speech in it
Would never happen.
Jodie Who has already been stripped of any violence.
It would just be the Handmaid's Tale with the occasional Ood in the background
>Sure, there were missteps, but it was acceptable at worst and superb at best. It could have been so much worse: it could have been what it is now. Flat, boring, and a bastardization of what it once was.
Nailed it.
Moffat did write 13, and that was better than anything Chibnall put out in 2 series.
When did Moffat write 13? Or are you just referencing Curse of the Fatal Death?
Could be cool.
Kate sucks.
not him, but he wrote a short story on the BBC website.
>Unit spin-off never ever
that sucks.
I mean, Iplayer isn't illegal but it's free?

Anyone have one for the New Series?
