He's barely successful at all at comedy. He was a decent amateur level martial artist, broke into Hollywood show buisness through acting, got the gig hosting fear factor and then later working for the UFC.
The only reason he has any success as a stand up is because he has so much clout everywhere else.

Schaub is more insultingly unfunny. Kreischer gives him a run for his money but I might just hate him too much cause of that fake, insufferable wheezing laugh he does. But yeah, Rogan is incredibly unfunny and completely tone deaf when it comes to comedy. Even shit that Theo Von was saying which can't even really be called subtle went over his fat HGH head.

I find most comedians not that funny on stage and much prefer thier podcast appearances, even people I find really funny on podcasts I can't watch thier comedy, exceptions are bill bur and Tom segura thier stands ups are alright

The podcast is great but yeah, he's not that funny. I've seen his bits and so many times it's like seeing a drunk frat boy tell a goofy story that only his other drunk frat friends are gonna laugh at because it's Saturday night, they're already drunk and damn it they're gonna laugh. I'm also sick of hearing how everyone is the funniest person on earth. They can't all be number one, Joe!
