I remember watching first 2 or 3 seasons when it first came out and liking it. Is it worth re-watching? Does the ending make sense?
I remember watching first 2 or 3 seasons when it first came out and liking it. Is it worth re-watching...
The ending makes sense if you're not a retard
worst ending of any series
it's all downhill after s3 so don't bother
Watch it but stop at season 3 or 4. The ending makes sense but it's shit.
Even in s2 the writing becomes weak once Ben is introduced. The way he easily manipulates everyone is ridiculous. You can tell by the way he’s written that he was favorite of lindelof. He’s a cartoon villain
based duality of man
No it's not worth watching and sure the ending makes sense - it's the copout everyone predicted but hoped wouldn't be the case "they were all dead lmao".
have you never heard of a cult before?
The Island is Purgatory.
That wasn't the ending you brain-dead faggot.
Some of the best music I heard in a series
Another dim-wit that also didn't get the ending.
Briefly explain the ending then, anons
>episodes always have a flashback to show how their lives were
>suddenly jack's scene
>he's unhinged as fuck
>episode plays with them finally taking down ben or whatever his name was
>they are escaping at last
>kate suddenly appears in the jack scene
>it was a flash forward
>jack is insane and wants to go back
i thought that was kino, but no... there were three seasons after that. fuck lost
the ending was Jack was a schizo who made it all up in his head. the classic "its just a dream".
what a fucking sell out that was.
Jackino and lostpilled
Almost every character based episode followed the same structure. The show over relied on flashbacks, a sign of lazy and poor writing imo
they were more of a plot a/plot b thing, and it was a standard thing for tv back then
This show would have been really fun to shitpost about on Yas Forums as it was airing.
>it's a "sawyer is a cunt with everyone else" episode
It remember the series becoming boring by the time they found the bunker and the latina chick being introduced along with some other tribe, IIRC.
Wouldn't really re-watch, it has probably aged terribly. Back in the day, when it was aired weekly, I remember part of the fun being talking with your friends about different theories of what was actually happening in the series. Now you don't have that element anymore and can just look up everything in the internet.
I also remember bunch of stupid unexplained shit, like that one arrogant chick being eaten by some random invisible CGI dinosaur/polar bear in season 1 and they never really addressed that incident in the following episodes and just conveniently forgot about that.
The fat one should have eaten the others by the end of the series.
They weren't all dead you fucking retard. Never attempt to discuss TV again.
The "sideways" flashes during season 6 were purgatory. Everything that happened on the island was real.
>Does the ending make sense?
Idk the sci fi twist is a bit off.
I was the same as you, I'd only seen up to season 3 and decided recently to finish it off. It's never surpasses its initial quality in the early seasons but it's still a fairly engaging mystery series. It's very cheesy and doesn't hold up to the current day prestige TV standard set by shows like Breaking Bad and Mad Men. But it's a fun watch and worth binging if you've got a lot of time on your hands. The writing quality fluctuates (there are still lots of high points) but the characters are consistently really well acted. Jack, Sawyer, and Locke in particular are terrifically performed.
>Does the ending make sense?
>Does the ending make sense?
it gets kinda crazy around season 3, but they follow through and give it a nice ending
>Jack, Sawyer, and Locke in particular are terrifically performed.
I'd add Desmond to that list. He doesn't have as much screen time as them but I don't think he had a single bad episode or even scene throughout the series.
Based
Cringe
>Does the ending make sense?
Uh...
I think I will rewatch it but skip any filler episodes if there are any.
Nice to see some level headedness from someone of Yas Forums.
Seems these days everything is either the greatest thing of all time or absolute cancer.
The later seasons were definitely not quite as hype as the first few. But LOST is still a really enjoyable experience. And great for binging.
Basically every mystery is resolved.
It's also one of the best produced tv shows ever, in terms of camera/music/acting/locations.
The ending makes ends it was just weak. For a show that was heavy on ambiguity, having Jack’s father basically spoonfeed the audience on what’s going on and where our protagonists were going felt out of place. The whole church bit was cheesy too, though subtlety was never strong point of Lost
