Agreed. I have a thing for 80s neo-noirs, but I also liked Brian Cox's less hammy take on Hannibal more than Anthony Hopkins' portrayal. It also managed to make the serial killer surprisingly sympathetic in the brief time he's shown, which was pretty great character development. Thief is better though.
