Angel. Its last season is the best season.

well buffy does drop after the 3rd season, but it's only for 1 season. After season 4 it gets better and many even think the best season is 6.
I prefer the high school environment though so my favs are 2 and 3.
Best season of Angel is 5. I think 4 was the worst there as well though, so it did drop after 3.

the third season of a show may have terrible writing, acting, and production, but intrinsically the number 3 is so good that no matter what it will be the show's best season.
