As far as I know, GRRM has only confirmed that Shireen burns, but he never said that Stannis does it. It's pretty impossible for him to do it, he's stranded hundreds of miles away from the Wall in a frozen village surrounded by Bolton forces, while Shireen is with Melisandre at Castle Black. Not to mention Stannis outright says he won't burn people and that if he dies Shireen must be placed on the throne.
