I've never been to jail. But I have spent 6 months in a bootcamp with other kids who have been to jail. It was a youth program for kids between 16 and 18. Most of which had trouble with the law, and got sent there to correct their behavior. I was just a lazy NEET dropout. So living in a barrack, surrounded by a bunch of crazy black dudes who want to fight and steal, is a pretty close approximation of prison.
