1 and 2 are absolute horror kino, out of all the mainstream horror choices these are my go-to
3 is only cool because of cool deaths, concepts, and cenobite designs, also when the story started shitting on itself
Everything after is a fucking mess
V is okay I guess
hellraiser: inferno is what the live action silent hill should have been. also the best hellraiser movie

B-but it's just an N word!
OH NO, IT IS A MEANS TO SUMMON US.
4 was better than 3. For whatever that's worth.
The real final nail was how awful The Scarlet Gospel was.
If Barker hadn't caved in to the Americans, and had made it the way he originally envisaged it, with the Coil score, it would be a masterpiece. But he did cave in.
Let's just dive into your post history, shall we?
NO, DON'T DO THAT
Face it. The Coil score just sucked.
Hey man, Coil is good. Fuck you.
No it didn't, it was great, and once the parts intended for orchestration had been orchestrated, it would have sounded even better. Barker was trying to put underground aesthetics into commercial movies about ten years before they'd all be doing it. If he'd been making it after Se7en and the pop breakthrough of industrial, the suits would have gotten it, but he was too early.
Ahh good, a fight
Get Coil to score the remake.
The main duo are dead, but their score could be completed by Stephen Thrower and Ossian Brown. Providing there isn't some terrible situation with the rights.
Thanks for laugh.
>3
>cool cenobite designs
The Hellraiser BTS docus are actually great to play on your second monitor while you're doing other shit, honestly.
First two are excellent. God I miss 80's horror so much. 90's horror was like a faded image of what was on offer in the 80's and the 2000's was just just so fucking subdued and boring. It's like they were, ironically, terrified of coming up with monster designs, practical effects, and being anything other than taking itself too seriously.
This. There was a guy with a camera fused to his head and someone that fired out cds.
Beat part about 4 for me was beating off to Angelic when I was a kid.
