Parody is a humorous take on an existing work, like Spaceballs on Star Wars or Austin Powers on James Bond
Satire tries to make a point on why a certain thing is bad like Dr. Strangelove on the cold war or Heathers on teenage suicide

Parody: Scary movie
Satire: Scream

Parody is usually more low-brow, absurd, and derivative of the original work, while satire is witty and intended to send a message

No they don't. Satire is political and creates absurd situations that are often funny to make a statement. Parody is comedy based on mimicking something else for the end goal of humour.
Anything you can find being called one will likely be called the other by someone else
