They recapped the plot of Infinity War/Endgame in a funny way and quickly explained how all the kids that Peter knew from Homecoming had been conveniently snapped, so they were all the same age.
It was basically the director having to play the canon off as a joke because he was told to make a second Spider-Man movie, and ultimately the Avengers continuity didn't matter.

Because when they were snapped, they were erased from existence and when Iron Man snapped the gauntlet he got everyone back, but from the point 5 years ago when they disappeared, so, they were the same age they were in Infinity War.
