The remake is pretty scary, but for the wrong reasons

I am not scared by movies anymore but I still enjoy the dark aspects in them especially if they have psychological thrills.
I nominate the Thing because unlike many horror films where the characters get diced for being idiotic, almost every character is intelligently aware of the situation but still unable to stop it.
Kairo
I watched it too old. I liked it a lot but it didn't scare me at all.
I literally thought the movie was made for me and thought I was dieing

Jay and Silent Bob Reboot
The Grifter
How old were you when you first watched it?
For some reason, novels and poetry are more susceptible to give me creepling anxiety than movies. I probably watched too many of them when I was a teenager.
those are at least an 8/10 you tasteless fag
I I still have total mental breakdowns from seeing that
>poetry
name 1(wun) creepy poem
I just went into a kino adventure in Roman Pedophilanki's trilogy, i started with Repulsion wich was a bit slow but not bad, had to look up after the implication.
Its a movie about a women who gets triggered everytime a man tries to get close to her.
Overall not bad, but wont be watching it again.
Then i moved on with Rosemary's Baby, might be the best out of the 3, not really all that disturbing because im not a woman, its not bad at all, i dont understand why its compared to the exorcist though.
And i just watched this kino about how all the neighbors wanted Roman Polanksi to be a trap and commit suicide, it gave me a good insight into the mind of the average Yas Forums poster.
if you're frightened of dying
you'll see devils tearing away at your life
but if you are free you'll see they are really angels freeing you from the earth.
something like that
I'm french, so, I'm not sure I could help you a lot.
Try to read a translation of Les Chants de Maldoror by Lautréamont.
I was actually just reading that like 3 days ago because it was posted on /lit/. It was interesting at first but I got a bit bored.
I speak french anyway if you have other recs
>It was interesting at first but I got a bit bored.
The book is very unequal, there's some of the best poetry I've read and uninteresting ironic parts. Ducasse was a bit fucked in the head.
If you understand french, you really should listen to this radio recording of Julien Gracq where he reads the best parts: youtu.be
Other recs: Harmonie du Soir (Baudelaire)
Ladislav Klima's novels (is it translated in english?)
Un drame affreux chez les tranquilles (Marc Stéphane)
Les diaboliques (Barbey d'Aurevilly)
L'âme de Napoléon (Léon Bloy, creepy for mystical reasons)
Try Lermontov (easier to find than Klima) and Pushkin
Have fun, bro.

I was trying to watch this on amazon prime a minute ago and it kept auto adjusting the quality of the video from 480 all the way down past 100. I cant seem to find anything in the settings to turn the adjustment off, any help?
