Alien. People who say this shit is about demons have no real evidence to prove it. They just make up random shit to try and fit their viewpoint.
Aliens ARE demons
they were actually just black people if you think about
>can run really fast and jump high
>break into peoples house
>don't like water
>can't open wooden doors
LMFAO.....not
It's a porta rican
He clearly says "it's Behind"
Directly from an interview with Shyamalan:
>"You mentioned aliens and I wondered if we could talk about your film Signs. What prompted you to take a stab at science fiction?"
>S: "I stand by my previous answer, but I will tell you that I had a lot of pressure at the time to try science fiction. I'm not the sort of guy to do the next Star Wars or the next Aliens. Those are perfectly good movies, but I wanted to attempt something deeper and more universal. You know what I said about giving a Dracula movie a deceptive title? That's what I did with Signs. That was a story about a war between Heaven and Hell. The aliens were demons and the people's dead loved ones were angels. That was why I had them pray several times in the movie. It was about faith."
>"So the water that killed the aliens was holy water?"
>S: "(He laughs). Most critics just didn't get that. My publicist tells me that you wrote a very negative review based on the water concept yourself. You guys just didn't use your heads. Water is holy in general. Many cultures revere it. Baptisms, holy water at a church, some pagan groups worship the sea or rivers. It's not a difficult concept, but some people just can't wrap their small minds around that."
>"I think it was the idea that aliens would invade the earth, a planet that's like 75% water, has water that falls from the sky and-"
>S: "No. Bullshit. You're still being small-minded. The characters in that movie called them aliens, but it was never explicitly demonstrated what they were or why they were on earth. People are much more accepting of aliens these days, and the idea was that if demons appeared among us, they would be perceived as aliens"
>S: "I don’t know what’s going on with me and the critics in the United States, I gotta tell you. Something’s going on. They’ve never got me, and it’s getting worse. It’s almost like, go away. I also think I’m getting more, you know, influenced by other cultures more, as you could see from the movie. So I’m not doing like a straight-up American movie anymore. The tonalities are changing. I always had a European sensibility to my movies. The pacing is always a little bit off for them, and it feels a little stilted, and they need more electricity and all that stuff and I’m like, this is the way I think of things. ‘Cause, you know, Hitchcock and Kurosawa and Stanley Kubrick, these are my teachers. So it could be a little bit of that, that there’s just a little bit of cultural difference. Just like on this movie, I’m very used to getting on a plane from the U.S., having been savaged by them, and then going to, like in this case, I went to Japan next, and then they’re like, “Genius!” You can lose your mind a little bit, going on Saturday from being an idiot to Sunday being a genius. But it gives you perspective. But luckily for me, it’s not something I can fight. It’s not my fight to fight. I’m defenseless, it’s the audience, if they choose to fight for me, then they fight for me. And they have through my career, and I’m honored to have that relationship with them. And I’ll keep fighting for that relationship. And maybe, 20 years from now, I’ll get a good review, I’ll sit here together, and be like, “I got a good review! Woohoo!”
Demons are able to chill in fire and brimstone but a little fucking water is gonna kill them? Fuck outta here
..yes? Water does tend to counter fire.
1.They're not fire
2. If they were they would cause the water to evaporate brainlet
what do they drink when they get thirsty?
>they have goat hooves and a goat skull on their back
>The entire film is about faith and God
DUURR IT'S NOT DEMONS GUIZE
That actually makes a lot more sense now. Also, air is like, a lot percent water (not gonna bother looking it up). So the fact that water (which in a lot of cultures, demons / spooks can't cross) is their weakness makes a lot more sense if they're demons
They're Shepherds?
it's swamp thang
That news segment in Signs is probably the single spookiest scene in movie history. I remember seeing it in theaters and vividly recall the moment it happened and the entire audience jolted out of their seats.
Things that look like this but are black with eyes that shine like lights in the dark are everywhere but your eyes are not trained to see. When you're out at night, away from city lights, look up into the trees. They huddle in clusters. Do not get too close. Just look. There are things around you all the time that you don't notice. Truth is much scarier than fiction.
>but your eyes are not trained to see.
What does this even mean?
I think it's one of those things where you had to be there at the time or something. I watched Signs on my computer in like 2015 and that scene didnt do much
My cum
Fire
You only glance around at things you think are normal without taking the time to really scrutinize the forms and shapes of what they really are.
For example: watch clouds. Clouds are alive.
It's helped by the immersion you get in a theater. Come to think of it I'm not sure why that scene was as effective as it was. I think it's the constant buildup of tension that explodes when ayys become confirmed. All it took was just a few frames of the alien on cam and it was just pure unrelenting terror. Too bad the rest of the film fizzles out and the aliens become a punchline by the end.
Signs was pretty scary, at least the first time yo see it. It really is one of those movies that uses your imagination against you
brimstone
It's practically the most famous jumpscare of the century so I'm not knocking it. I probably was just not absorbed enough into the movie. Though I did find the overall atmosphere quite unsettling
