No, I started collecting the sets in 92. I'm guessing the cardboard sleeve set is earlier. I think there was a badly converted pan and scan version of alien that cut off a lot of what's on screen.

probably to make you think of typical grays style of alien popular at the time, if you hit audiences with Escher's stuff right out the gate on the poster it probably would've lost ticket sales. Keeps the mystery of the monster too.

Resurrection gives the much needed ending to Ripley's story. Visuals and atmosphere are alot like of the first movie. I can still visualize scenes from it in my mind - can't tell the same about Alien 3 which sucked ass and is only praised by contrarian retards.

Alien 3 is unarguably the worst. I never could make myself care about muh religious prisoners on a rock planet with bad weather.
Aliens is pretty good but it's just an action flick. It differs greatly from all the other movies. The best parts of it is the start of the movie when she's still on earth / preparing to land on the alien planet.

It's a rare horror film that can be watched twice, and Alien can we watched again and again. I've lost count of how many times I've seen it. And I just watched that webm to the end because I just couldn't take my eyes off it.
