Spartacus

How did they get away with showing all the nudity and gore on tv? And should I watch all seasons? I finished 1.

Premium cable.
>And should I watch all seasons?
YES!
All seasons are good.
Watch them in order. I've seen too many people watch Gods of the Arena first (because it's a prequel) or last (because IMDB lists it as a separate show).
Gods of the Arena is season 2.

but what of good solonius?

Do you think Starz is basic cable user?

SAND SMELLS LIKE THRACE

Wasn't gonna bother with the prequel, but I will give it a watch.
I don't really follow tv...

Yeah the prequel was filmed because Andy got really sick. The prequel established a lot of the characters from season 2 and gave much needed back stories to others.

If you finished season one and are still ambivalent on watching more of the show, you're fucking stupid as hell. How do you watch an entire season of show and not know whether you like it enough to keep watching?

Because I read they changed leads

I liked xanus but he died offscreen

Because the lead got cancer and died. The guy they replaced him with looks almost exactly like him. The acting is a bit weird but he comes into his own by the third season. The entire cast supports him throughout the entire second season making it worthwhile.

but what of bad solonius?

It's amazing how this show was quite accurate to the historical events of Spartacus: youtu.be/RvaXBKUDG-Y?t=94

Yeah like Crassus' son raping Cesar and Cesar raping him in return.

cesar didnt raped him in return he fucking died

Yeah, excluding all the shitty fag sex scenes, all the rest of the events are accurate

I like how the dialogue is sort of modeled after the grammar conventions of latin. Also the transition between leads is gracefully done.
When you get done with the series watch the documentary about the first Spartacus who died

Im pretty sure being gay in rome is historically accurate

>onomaeus was a gaul
wtf bros

this show looks like walmart version hbo's rome

It's only gay if you are the bottom, catamite

yeah and thats why rome was cancelled too much investment for no return

Spartacus never gets as low as Rome S2.

>Wasn't gonna bother with the prequel, but I will give it a watch.

Non-Spartacusfag here - the prequel is the best season and introduces the best character! To user's point, you gotta watch it I think before Season 2? I'm not sure how to order them.

>To user's point, you gotta watch it I think before Season 2? I'm not sure how to order them.
yes.
The order is:
Blood and Sand
Gods of the Arena
Vengeance
War of the Damned

It's easy to remember because it's in the alphabetical order

I see.

And what order should I watch Banshee in?

Like everything, in the order it was produced.

Aren't they potrayed more in the modern sense though? Idk even historically gay shit tends to just be gay pandering these days. I'd honestly rather just see otherwise straight men enjoy a strong friendship at this point.

watch it. the seasons are
1 > 2 > 4 >

Vengeance is the worst season and Blood and Sand is the best.

What's the purpose of having different directors per episode?

Words fall from mouth as shit from ass

There's tons of art and literature at the time that points to otherwise

Not to get personal but when I came out reading about how homosexuality was treated in ancient societies made me feel less alien

But even I often times get tired of oversaturated pandering of gays in media, mainly because it favors annoying feminine men
