The Irishman

So we all agree now that it was a forgettable hype-job and that the CGI was ridiculous?

Hoffa was better

Yes. A boring movie about a retarted guy who was surrounded by smarter and more powerful people who used him.

The bottom line is they were too old to play those parts and it would've been better with age appropriate actors.

It started shit, built up some potential with decent acting and guess what? Ended shit!

It was a simple story that most people already knew and Scorsese did nothing new with it.
His Gangster movies are all overrated, this one the most. Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and After Hours, those are his true kinos, none of this wop shit.

/thread.

Movie honest to god has deniro being called "kid" so many times it's absurd.

It was an amazing $10 million dollar movie!

> it actually cost $200 mil because we need 80 year olds playing 20 year olds

You could really tell that DeNiro was as old as he is in this, despite the de-aging. A 70 year old simply doesnt move the way a 30-40 year old man does, no matter how much CGI you slap on him.

Not only that, but his movements. I don't think it was de-aged, but the scene where he confronts some guy who disspekted his dotter, his attempts to kick and stomp on the guy were so feeble.

>here’s that little rascal from the neighborhood I’ve been telling you about, he and the other kids play stickball in the street. You want a Shirley Temple there, sport?

Remember when Yas Forums pretended this was good just to spite marvelfags?

based Yas Forums

Worse than Goodfellas and Casino and pretty much all of Scorsese's gangster-related films. But worth a watch and some great moments

A noble cause.

Name a “great moment” in The Irishman

It's an ok movie and you people are retardedly autistic and act like manchildren out of Yas Forums with your hyperbole and doom-saying.

the one time the cast takes time to run a train on you asshole

Pacino in full Pacino mode when he's giving his subordinates shit.

Every subtle implication that Hoffa and Sheeran were having gay buttsex

The ends justify the means

Hoffas murder, pretty much the whole set up, starting from a fish in a back sit and ending on this.

This.
With a cast the right age and an editor/producer that could reign in the film and cut out about 30-40 minutes and streamline the film, this film could've been one of Scorsese's best

cant remember any of it desu

The sit down with Hoffa and Tony Pro

lmao why this nigga look like Christopher Walken

ray romano was the best part

fish

so what was the point of the fish anyway? I'm a brainlet

Worst movie of the year

It’s a Sicilian message

What i got from this movie is that growing old is far scarier than dealing with the mob.

I'm assuming because he didn't want Sally Bags to sit behind him, because you know

And some retarded deeper meaning about death

>His Gangster movies are all overrated, this one the most. Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and After Hours, those are his true kinos, none of this wop shit.
I have never even once watched his gangster flicks but Hugo was a fantastic children's movie which I will always use to spite Disneyfags. Taxi Driver still my favorite though

Yeah, I kinda wish they'd something similar to looper, where they used an actor kinda resembling Bruce Willis (Gordon Levitt) and then use Makeup/CGI to enhance it, and then switch actor after s acertain age.
