2000-2004 was basically just a continuation of the Late 90s Golden Age when it came to kid centric culture like PS2, Samurai Jack, Invader Zim, Malcolm in the Middle, etc., and was the tail end of Gen Y or Millennial Kid Culture.
2005-2009 in contrast was a dark age in children's entertainment with Johnny Test, iCarly, casual gaming, and Fanboy and Chum Chum, and was around when kids started to stay inside more often and social media started to take over our lives, aka the inception of Gen Z or Zoomer Kid Culture.
you're a fucking dumbass 90's culture ended on 9/11
Joshua King
>tfw nostalgic for the 90s >but you used to be able to smoke cigarettes in shopping mall, bars, restaurants, everywhere basically
Yeah no, I'll stay in this current hellworld thank you
Wyatt Thompson
I miss when Pokemon were only the 252. It's a weird number considering the 151 is the usual go to for nostalgia fags, but Gold and Silver was the last to be made by a small team, with Gen 3 being a corporate reboot. Gen 2 had creativity and soul, while Gen 3 was a reboot made to not offend anyone. It's no coincidence that the creator of Pokemon directed both gen 1 and 2, but stepped down in gen 3 for the music composer that went on to run the franchise into the ground with gen 3, 4, 5, and 6.

faggots no matter when it occurred you're always gonna be born just slightly too late so you can have a good showy wallow in your faggoty saudade for faggots ps: faggot
Hunter Ross
Just checked noggin.com Never been so sad bros...
Nathaniel Hall
1989 was a fun year, especially for summer movies. I waited in line for two hours to watch Batman.
Ryder Scott
There were still plenty of late 90s holdovers from Late 2001-early 2004 or so. The matrix reloaded, Spy kids, Shrek 1, Fellowship of the ring, Kangaroo jack, Animatrix, Attack of the clones, Daredevil, Van hellsing, Good charlotte, Freaky friday remake, etc. still had the Y2K era essence.
Luis Jackson
I like Gen 3 though :< Even found my old Emerald recently.
William Kelly
>when Yas Forums autists get to gatekeeping about "soul"
>2000-2004 2000-2001* 9/11 killed the '90s once and for all
Ryan Mitchell
Am I pathetic if I'd like to go back to around 08-09, go to a cheap ass arcade and hang out without a care in the world like I use to do.
Ethan Torres
>2000-2004 was basically just a continuation of the Late 90s Golden Age No it wasn't. Stop trying to attach yourself to my childhood, zoomer.
Adam Foster
I’m sick of people on Yas Forums thirsting after Disney/Nick girls like Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande.
How young are you faggots that you watched those shows??
Jack Flores
You guys saying 90s culture ended immediately on 9/11 are like people who think hippies and psychedelia immediately showed up after JFK's assassination in 1963 (even though there was a transition period from 64-66).
Oliver Brown
God i miss getting my dick sucked by a 14 year old.
Carter Miller
When I think of early 2000s I think of pop punk cheap computer animation and effects, things generally had more bright colors
Adam Richardson
TAKE ME BACK TO WHEN I WAS TEN YEARS OLD RIGHT NOW AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Fuck off zoomer, you’re not sneaking into our nostalgia club.
Matthew Moore
>2002 >nice summer day >come in from jumping on the trampoline >watch rocket power >eat a bowl of cereal >your friend calls you on the phone to hang out
it was a good game, but there's no doubt it was the beginning of the formula that ran the franchise into the ground, mainly the the over focus on story and linearity. Every game since gen 3 has been a rehash of gen 3 and featured the same level of A to B to C plotting that removed the adventure aspect of the game.
Ranting, but yeah, enjoy what you enjoy, and gen 3 is the best of the post Tajiri era, but still a turning point in the franchise.
Julian Wilson
have you been round here lately, its a cess pit
Aiden Russell
As of this past Christmas, my local mall still has the same cheap ass arcade that I used to go to as far back as the mid-80's and even more incredible, still has the same fucking dude working all these years later. Those feels never go away.
Christian Garcia
I'm 26 retards. That's millennial.
Josiah Fisher
I agree actually 152-252 weren't as iconic but they were certainly made in the same style and with the same amount of effort. They were also printed on the original Pokémon card design which helps me like them more I think
Jayden Campbell
......Things are never going to back to normal, are they?
Carson Jones
Ever play manhunt; not the video game but the team based hide n seek game you play at night. You'd run though and hide in other people's backyards.
100% agree. They had their own style (mainly black stripes) but they still felt like they fit in. It may be due to the evolutions of previous pokemon and the connection of Johto to Kanto, but still, it felt like an expansion. Hoenn just felt like a needless reboot.
Isaac Richardson
>1994 You were 6 in 2000. You're a fucking zoomer.
Isaiah Scott
huge*
Nathan Myers
How is being 6 in 2000 Zoomer? People still had dial up and pagers then. If anything, being 6 in like 2008 is Zoomer.
Aaron Walker
>manhunt based, also cops and robbers
Julian Collins
you missed the 90s bro
Easton Foster
Ok, but you're not giving the *early* 2000s credit here. Early 2000s still had remnants of the 90s.
Leo Martin
that's not what defines the generational divides retard. you don't have to have any memory of the 90's to be a millenial.
