The great debate
The great debate
Zep
>boomer rock
I don't know any song by the rolling stones
Lol at all these Yas Forums fags coming over here because they want a decent opinion.
This
It makes me glad that anyone on this planet who hold shit like this in high regard is going to be dumped into a mass grave very soon.
The Doors
>Shitty calliope instrumental for 5 minutes
No thanks.
Defund the Who
me on the right
Why can't they both be great?
Beatles, and it's not even close. Stones are a great rock band, without a doubt. But they were never anything more than derivative. The Beatles pushed music into so many new directions that we consider them cliche, even though they created those cliches.
Not really, but their debut album is arguably better than any of the Stones or Beatles albums.
It's very similar to the Metallica vs Megadeth debate that people will always have till the end of time.
I like more Beatles songs, but I like rolling Stones songs better.
I like more Metallica songs, but I like Megadeth songs better.
Get fucked pedo
Stones are more hetero but that's their only victory
The real debate was always Beach Boys vs Beatles anyways
Who were the Stones derivative of?
It's Morrison. No debate.
Shall I tell you about my life
They say I'm a man of the world
I've flown across every tide
And I've seen lots of pretty girls
I guess I've got everything I need
I would't ask for more
And there's no one I'd rather be
BUT I JUST WISH THAT I HAD NEVER BEEN BORN
I'm a Stones guy and their new song they just released is decent
On every metric except maybe blues rock songwriting it's the Beatles. They were even from a tougher part of england than the Stones, who were art school london types pretending to be working class, whereas the Beatles were working class pretending to be posh
Best Steely Dan album, Yas Forums?

It's impossible. I love them both so much. But yeah, it's gotta be The Beatles.
Listened to Sgt Pepper for the first time yesterday and it surprisingly doesn’t feel dated at all. A Day in the Life sounds cutting edge even today.
Stones
Peter Green is criminally underrated and now basically forgotten since the Buckingham/Nicks era of Fleetwood Mac. Santana based his whole career off of copping his licks.
Two of my favorites:

The George song sounds dated as fuck on that album.
this. i forget sometimes that the beach boys and the beatles were going back and forth trying to one up one another before brian wilson went crazy. i wonder how different things would have been if smile never fell apart and where it would rank on best albums if it was released
Sgt. Pepper is the least among their post-touring albums imo and it's still one of the best albums ever made. It's stunning they released so much timeless music in less than a decade.
>Mane times I've been alone
>And many times I've cried
The Beatles have better albums, but the stones have the best individual songs
Not many had careers this long, saw the arenas they played in get bigger with time, and are considered the undisputed kings of their genre.
its really funny how every single beatle other than paul fucking hated maxwells silver hammer
It always has been and always will be the Rolling Stones. Beatles were/are fags as are their fans and are overrated af
I miss Jason newsted :(
>jerked off with rooms full of friends when he was a teen
>Serial-cheater who sees women as property to be bought
>got knighted by Queen Elizabeth
Classy.
If I had to choose what to listen and the only option is between these two, then around 4 times out of 5 I'd put on the Stones. I enjoy their music more, however in the end it's replaceable. But there's nothing that can replace The Beatles.
Based. In February I went to UK specifically to see pic related. Lots of musician in the audience as well, a few meters to my left was Bob Geldof, a few meters to my right was Jon Bon Jovi.
ACDC is better
So do I. They never did right by him after treating him like absolute shit for over a decade. All he asked for was a little breathing room like the rest of the band routinely enjoyed.
Are you implying "dated" is bad? I love when music is dated. Everything from Beethoven to The Beatles to Madonna.
